You have nothing to fear but psychopaths with their hands on the systems of sociological control. Your everlasting soul is safe no matter how whacked out your mental epistemology, no matter how twitchy your emotional landscape.

Fear has an exponential aspect to it once you tip over into it. Once you have reached the blithering point it is most difficult to help yourself or to allow others to. But if you haven’t reached that point, don’t feed the beast. Relax, find some way to draw back. You are only looking into a twisted mirror of your own making there. Keep that in mind. If you have some soothing mantra, now is the time to let it take you to the stillness you seek.

Hysteria feeds upon itself. Maybe you just need a good slap. All the spooks and bugaboos are just stories…stories you should not believe, for they are what twists the mirror. You will find many of these stories told through organized religion. If you are in this situation run for your life. If it hasn’t helped you get a clue—it isn’t going to.

Your problem is shame or guilt, these are the basis for all emotional problems, for all emotional trauma, for all exponential nose dives into pain. Let it go, it will only drive you to act in such a way as to compile more shame, more guilt. It is this circle that becomes a cycle that becomes a vortex that leads you to that exponential hell…that hall of twisted mirrors.

If you believe in a devil, your devil will believe in you.

Easier said than done? Yea, that’s life, everything is that way, even your triumphs. Remember them.

“The Devil is a fitting metaphor or allegory… just like the talking snake and the Forbidden Fruit. The problem is when twee-heads insist on concrete manifestations of metaphors under pain of death.

It would seem that it is simply too much work for some folk to wrap brain around abstraction than actual red-man with forked-tail and horns who lives underground.

“This is because abstract concepts elicit greater brain activity in the inferior frontal gyrus and middle temporal gyrus compared to concrete concepts when concrete concepts elicit greater activity in the posterior cingulate, precuneus, fusiform gyrus, and parahippocampal gyrus.”

In other words, the brain likes to stick to the part that is used the most. Which means that there are plenty of folk who naturally divert “metaphor” to the same part of the brain they use when holding a hammer.

The metaphor “dumb as a bag of hammers” comes to mind, but this is too easy. Most of us have been taught and bred to be “useful obedient workers” and have never had any kind of demand to do or be otherwise. We press the bar, we get our food-pellet.

    • The Catholic Inquisition

      When a suspect was convicted of unrepentant heresy, the inquisitorial tribunal was required by law to hand the person over to the secular authorities for final sentencing, at which point a magistrate would determine the penalty, which was usually burning at the stake although the penalty varied based on local law.[8][9] The laws were inclusive of proscriptions against certain religious crimes (heresy, etc.), and the punishments included death by burning, although imprisonment for life or banishment would usually be used. Thus the inquisitors generally knew what would be the fate of anyone so remanded, and cannot be considered to have divorced the means of determining guilt from its effects.[10]

      The 1578 handbook for inquisitors spelled out the purpose of inquisitorial penalties: … quoniam punitio non refertur primo & per se in correctionem & bonum eius qui punitur, sed in bonum publicum ut alij terreantur, & a malis committendis avocentur. Translation from the Latin: “… for punishment does not take place primarily and per se for the correction and good of the person punished, but for the public good in order that others may become terrified and weaned away from the evils they would commit.”

    World War II spurred the emergence of psychological warfare as a particularly promising new form of applied communication research. The personal, social, and scientific networks established in U.S. social sciences during World War II, particularly among communication researchers and social psychologists, later played a central role in the evolution (or “social construction”) of U.S. sociology after the war. A detailed discussion of U.S. psychological operations during World War 11 is of course outside the scope of this book. There is a large literature on the subject, which is discussed briefly in the Bibliographic Essay at the end of this text. A few points are worth mentioning, however, to introduce some of the personalities and concepts that would later play a prominent role in psychological operations and communication studies after 1945.

    The phrase “psychological warfare” is reported to have first entered English in 1941 as a translated mutation of the Nazi term Weltanschauungskrieg (literally, worldview warfare), meaning the purportedly scientific application of propaganda, terror, and state pressure as a means of securing an ideological victory over one’s enemies. 31 William “Wild Bill” Donovan, then director of the newly established U.S. intelligence agency Office of Strategic Services (OSS), viewed an understanding of Nazi psychological tactics as a vital source of ideas for “Americanized” versions of many of the same stratagems. Use of the new term quickly became widespread throughout the U.S. intelligence community. For Donovan psychological warfare was destined to become a full arm of the U.S. military, equal in status to the army, navy, and air force. 32

    Donovan was among the first in the United States to articulate a more or less unified theory of psychological warfare. As he saw it, the “engineering of consent” techniques used in peacetime propaganda campaigns could be quite effectively adapted to open warfare. Pro-Allied propaganda was essential to reorganizing the U.S. economy for war and for creating public support at home for intervention in Europe, Donovan believed. Fifth-column movements could be employed abroad as sources of intelligence and as morale-builders for populations under Axis control. He saw “special operations — meaning sabotage, subversion, commando raids, and guerrilla movements — as useful for softening up targets prior to conventional military assaults. “Donovan’s concept of psychological warfare was all-encompassing,” writes Colonel Alfred Paddock, who has specialized in this subject for the U.S. Army War College. “Donovan’s visionary dream was to unify these functions in support of conventional (military) unit operations, thereby forging a ‘new instrument of war.'” 33

    Donovan, a prominent Wall Street lawyer and personal friend of Franklin Roosevelt, convinced FDR to establish a central, civilian intelligence agency that would gather foreign intelligence, coordinate analysis of information relevant to the war, and conduct propaganda and covert operations both at home and abroad. In July 1941 FDR created the aptly named Office of the Coordinator of Information, placing Donovan in charge. 34

  3. Huxley’s BRAVE NEW WORLD an update of Plato’s REPUBLIC

    The Structure of Huxley’s World State

    From the first paragraph of the novel, we learn the motto of the World State of Huxley’s imagination: “Community, Identity, Stability.” This brings to mind Socrates’ question to Glaucon in The Republic: “Have we any greater evil for a city than what splits it and makes it many instead of one? Or a greater good than what binds it together and makes it one?” Socrates and Glaucon agree that “that city [is] best governed which is most like a single human being.” In the same vein, the individual in the World State is “just a cell in the social body.” As for stability, described by one of Huxley’s chief characters as “the primal and the ultimate need,” this is something Socrates cannot guarantee regarding his city in speech: he tells his young friends that their city is “so composed” as to be “hard to be moved,” but that “since for everything that has come into being there is decay,” even it will not “remain for all time.” At the end of Brave New World, we have no reason to believe that Huxley’s World Controllers have not conquered the problem of decay. They appear to have achieved a perfectly static perfect justice. But then, unlike the rulers in Socrates’ city — unlike Socrates himself — they have wholly mastered a science that is (in Socrates’ words) “sovereign of better and worse begettings.” For the need to conquer human nature by eugenics is only the most obvious matter where Plato and Huxley meet on common ground.   4. The Cuntocracy

    But a system largely based on bribery and compliance should be perfectly amenable for our purposes of selling the term, normalising it. If we wish to convince the intellectuals so that they can aid us spread the word, we will have to start by examining the theorists on whom the principles of the cuntocracy are clearly dependent: those who advanced being a ‘total cunt’ as a desirable condition. In the rest of this essay I will attempt to draft this out.

    A good start would be Robert Michels’ the ‘iron law of oligarchy’, that took forever to insist that nature had determined that whatever the top cunts say goes. It might well be wayward gibberish, but the chances are that it, and the theorists he uses to back it up, will offer a chance to find enough other cuntologists to provide the main thing that proves things to intellectuals: the academic citation. For example, Vilfredo Pareto and Gaetano Mosca could be plundered to offer evidence of the ‘circulation of cunts.’ Surely too, there must be reams of it in James Burnham; but here we are only talking about neo-Machiavellianism mixed with people’s desperate desire not to be thought of as a communist. We should go back to the timeless master, Niccolo Machiavelli here. Would not ‘The Cunt’ have made a better title than ‘The Prince’?

      In January of 1977 Princeton University psychologist Julian Jaynes (1920–1997) put forth a bold new theory of the origin of consciousness and a previous mentality known as the bicameral mind in the controversial but critically acclaimed book The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind. Jaynes was far ahead of his time, and his theory remains as relevant today as when it was first published.

      Jaynes asserts that consciousness did not arise far back in human evolution but is a learned process based on metaphorical language. Prior to the development of consciousness, Jaynes argues humans operated under a previous mentality he called the bicameral (‘two-chambered’) mind. In the place of an internal dialogue, bicameral people experienced auditory hallucinations directing their actions, similar to the command hallucinations experienced by many people who hear voices today. These hallucinations were interpreted as the voices of chiefs, rulers, or the gods.

      To support his theory, Jaynes draws evidence from a wide range of fields, including neuroscience, psychology, archeology, ancient history, and the analysis of ancient texts. Jaynes’s theory has profound implications for human history as well as a variety of aspects of modern society such as mental health, religious belief, susceptiblity to persuasion, psychological anomalies such as hypnosis and possession, and our ongoing conscious evolution.

      Jaynes’s theory can be broken down into four independent hypotheses:

      >Consciousness — as he carefully defines it — is a learned process based on metaphorical language.
      >That preceding the development of consciousness there was a different mentality based on verbal hallucinations called the bicameral (‘two-chambered’) mind.
      >Dating the development of consciousness to around the end of the second millennium B.C. in Greece and Mesopotamia. The transition occurred at different times in other parts of the world.

    What a farce. Telling everyone “everything is under control” is perhaps the most dulling and disempowering phrase ever uttered.

    My fascination with language just keeps expanding. I love looking at expressions, words, colloquialisms, so-called “sayings” and the like with fresh awakened eyes. I can’t help it. The supposed, accepted and unconscious meanings of these imposed “expressions” are what direct our minds and turn our attention.

    So much of what we’ve been handed down is contorted, manipulated and eventually nestled in the collective mindset to twist our hearts away from simple truth.

    How many times has this expression been used to bring seeming comfort to someone; “Don’t worry, everything’s under control.” Really? What control? Who’s controlling what? And why?

    So often this is used to imply some powerful force is behind everything directing what’s going on. Remind you of anything? Yes – religion, hierarchy, and social, political and economic so-called “controllers”. How debilitating can you get when it comes right down to it, playing on people’s insecurity and lack of conscious awareness?

    “It’s under control” is comforting to people? It’s the picture of personal disempowerment!

    External Control? Or Creative Freedom!
    Sure, there is a wonderful creative Source we are all intrinsically part of, but it’s not “controlling” anything in a living, expanding Universe with beings of all sorts with free will and self determination in an alive multidimensional environment. If anything, this Creative impetus is tearing down control systems that attempt to foist themselves on its process, put there either by conscious intent or the manifestation of hardening mindsets in the social fabric.

    Earth processes attest to this, as well as our spectacular expanding and ever changing Universe. Nature itself is alive with new sprouts of life in the animal, plant and mineral worlds, never mind other realms of existence.

    Look at earthquakes and volcanoes, or the sun and astral influences. As much as some try to analyze or predict major events that affect earth that still brings no control, only a measure of preparedness on rare occasion. And that type of insecurity is good for us. It’s humbling and keeps us in check.

    This process is what the awakening is all about!

    While some earth changes may be exacerbated by human activity, the big stuff is way out of our control. Thankfully. That’s what makes life life, and also why the insane would-be captivators of humanity and its planet work so feverishly in their mad pursuits to try to control natural processes. Control is their yardstick and without it they have no temporal security or power, which to them equates some weird form of normalcy or equilibrium.

    How upside down can you get.

    Be it geoengineering our climate, genetically modifying the natural progression of life forms, or attempting to install artificial intelligence to run their soulless programs, these maniacs are desperate for control in every shape and form. Why? They cannot meld or harmonize with what’s natural since their psychopathic, demonic intentions have nothing to gain, all while the rest of us thrive on being part of the fantastic empowering natural processes of Creation Itself.

    Therein lies the rub. Quite apparently we’re in a world of conflicts of interest. That’s our current playing field, if you will. Or won’t. It’s just the way it is.

    Let Go Into Conscious Anarchy
    I like the anarchy approach. Anarchy is an example of another twisted word. It’s doesn’t mean putting a society into deliberate chaotic destruction, it means living without hierarchical control mechanisms. Something most groomed humans are scared spitless of thanks to generations of social programming.

    You mean to tell me if we didn’t have so-called “government” that everything would fall apart? Baloney. People are resourceful and essentially responsible, at least their inner nature is, that hasn’t been perverted by all of this programming to the contrary. That very dependence on external control systems is what the hierarchy is literally banking on which is why the repeated memes of fear of scarcity or personal security.

    There’s plenty for everybody. All we need to do is work together locally and share with other communities in a range of sizes and distances. Real commerce in loving cooperation, not the regulated systems that have been foisted upon us. We’ve been weaned from personal responsibility into a system of statist dependence, like someone who’s stopped using their muscles and is dependent on some mass produced contraption for their mobility when there’s nothing wrong with them at all.

    They just need to exercise their innate capabilities.

    Just because people have become spiritually atrophied in large numbers doesn’t mean that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Exactly like waking up, it’s time to arise and use the magnificent body of capabilities we’ve all been given, and let go of these false crutches and systems of hierarchy and walk into life and live!

    That false assurance that everything’s under control by external forces as if we individually have virtually none has got to go. Being comforting in times of stress and turmoil is one thing, but propping people up with some external dependence reinforcement is fundamentally wrong.

    It’s time to be conscious – in our words, our thoughts and our actions.

    It’s really not that difficult. The main thing you’ll confront is ignorant, unenlightened opposition from those who’ve grown deeply accustomed to this dependency programming, as if it’s some form of respect for the “great ones” who rule them.

    It’s very deep and will take time to overcome for most. But remaining in that conscious space, no matter what ridicule or obstacles assail you, is the very solution we each are longing for.

    It begins with each of us. Standing our ground and then moving forward in conscious, loving action.

    Do it. Bravely. The time for humanity to arise is now.

    There is a drama of epic proportions unfolding in Greece right now. It’s surely not a comedy, but will it end in tragedy? Stay tuned.

    The story so far:

    The Greek people defied the majority of the world’s expectations on Sunday by voting “no” to the Eurozone’s bailout proposals. What does this mean? No one knows yet, and don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise. The word on the street are that the options on the negotiating table at this point are:

    a) Back to square one looking for a new bailout deal with bigger and better structural reforms than ever before!

    b) The Greek government could start a “parallel currency” by issuing promissory notes to key creditors, or a kind of ‘lesser euro’ within the Eurozone itself.

    c) Greece could officially declare bankruptcy and be ejected from the Euro.

    The first option is just plain silly; the very inability to hammer out such a deal is precisely why we’re here, after all. The second option would open a pandora’s box of unanswered questions that could very well dismantle the Eurozone from the inside out as other economically-challenged, bailout-prone “peripheral” countries try to get in on the promissory note act. That pretty much leaves option three, right? Well, not if the Greeks have their way. Just last week the Greek government threatened to take the Eurozone to court if they tried to force a Grexit, so suddenly option three isn’t looking like such a foregone conclusion. And let’s not forget that all three of those options are only rumors anyway.

    What we do know: The Soros-promoting Syriza Finance Minister with a questionable history, Yanis Varoufakis just resigned and is being replaced by the Oxford-educated Euclid Tsakalotos. The Greek banks are going to remain closed until at least Wednesday and ATM withdrawal limits of 60 euros a day might have to be tightened as the central bank starts to run out of physical cash. And no one but no one is so much as peeping a breath about the parliamentary report on illegal, illegitimate, odious debt as a starting point for negotiations.

    So here we are. Tragedy? Farce? Bleak tale with a light at the end of the tunnel? It’s too early to know. But get your popcorn ready, because no matter how it plays out this tale is one that will be well worth watching.

    More recently, on 25 June 2015, an anonymous reddit poster, “moose,” listed and linked directly to 18 different news reports, in such media as New York Times, Washington Post, Telegraph, Mirror, Guardian, and Newsweek, reporting about wikipedia edits that were supplied not only by the CIA but by other U.S. Government offices, and by large corporations. That person opened with a news report which implicated Wikipedia itself, “Wikipedia honcho caught in scandal quits, defends paid edits,” in which Wikipedia’s own corruption was discussed. Most of the other news reports there concerned unpaid edits by employees at CIA, congressional and British parliamentary offices, the DCRI (French equivalent of the U.S. CIA), large corporations, self-interested individuals, and others. One article even concerned a report that, “All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) changed a Russian language version of a page listing civil aviation accidents to say that ‘The plane [flight MH17] was shot down by Ukrainian soldiers’.” Basically, wikipedia has been revealed to be a river of ‘information’ that’s polluted by so many self-interested sources as to be no more reliable than, say: “New York Times, Washington Post, Telegraph, Mirror, Guardian, and Newsweek.”

      What did it mean to be a patriot when the Declaration of Independence was signed? Many of us know from the tales we were told as school children that our Founding Fathers bravely signed the Declaration of Independence and further proclaimed that the thirteen British colonies were now independent from Great Britain. King George took this as a treacherous act of treason and a declaration of war which inevitably led to the American Revolution.

      But that brief summation doesn’t quite do justice to what was truly at stake. Our Founding Fathers, were men who understood the world. They were educated, law abiding, successful merchants, farmers and plantation owners. They had made a name for themselves and put all of that on the line to be free from the tyrannical rule from one of the world’s superpowers. It meant risking everything they built during their lifetime to call themselves a patriot. It meant risking losing their family, their fortunes, their honor – everything. They would rather be called a traitor and die a traitor’s death than live under the oppressive ruling of a King.

      Would you be willing to do that?

      Not all of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were given the accolades and honors like Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and George Washington after they put their signatures to paper; there were some that paid dearly. For those of you wondering what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, read on.

      Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons in the revolutionary army, another had two sons captured. Nine of the fifty-six fought and died from wounds or hardships resulting from the Revolutionary War.

      These men signed, and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor!

      What kind of men were they? Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants. Nine were farmers and large plantation owners. All were men of means, well educated. But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty could be death if they were captured.

      Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British navy. Left with no other choice, he sold his home and properties to pay his debts.

      Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. In a letter he wrote to his friend John Adams in 1777, he described how he had been “hunted like a fox by the enemy, compelled to remove my family five times in three months, and at last fixed them in a little log-house on the banks of the Susquehanna, but they were soon obliged to move again on account of the incursions of the Indians.” He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. He also served in a military capacity during the war as a volunteer leader of militia.

      Vandals or soldiers or both, looted the properties of Ellery, Clymer, Hall, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Rutledge, and Middleton.

      An old legend tells the tale of the most inspiring examples of “undaunted resolution” was at the Battle of Yorktown. Thomas Nelson, Jr. was returning from Philadelphia to become Governor of Virginia and joined General Washington just outside of Yorktown. He then noted that British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters, but that the patriot’s were directing their artillery fire all over the town except for the vicinity of his own beautiful home. Nelson asked why they were not firing in that direction, and the soldiers replied, “Out of respect to you, Sir.” Nelson quietly urged General Washington to open fire, and stepping forward to the nearest cannon, aimed at his own house and fired. Luckily, Nelson’s home was not destroyed and still stands today as a memorial of those who bravely fought.

      Francis Lewis’s Long Island home was looted and gutted, his home and properties destroyed while Lewis was in Philadelphia attending to congressional matters. His wife was taken prisoner by the British after disregarding an order for citizens to evacuate Long Island and held for several months before being exchanged for the wives of British officials captured by the Americans. Her poor health exacerbated while in detainment and died a few years after being released. The Lewis’s son would later die in British captivity, also.

      Months after “Honest John” signed the Declaration, he was driven from his home. His New Jersey home was looted during the course of the Revolutionary War, as well as his fields and his grist mill destroyed (possibly due his status as Speaker of the Assembly). For a short time, had to escape to the mountains and live in caves. Three years after signing the Declaration, he died from battling kidney stones.

      Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

      New Jersey’s Richard Stockton, was the first to sign the Declaration of Independence and would pay the price.

      After making an attempt to rescue his wife and children from advancing British troops, his plan was spoiled and he was captured by Loyalists. He was stripped of all of his property and earnings. When he wouldn’t renounce the Declaration of Independence, he was imprisoned, tortured, beaten and nearly starved. He returned an invalid to find his home gutted, and his library and papers burned. He, too, never recovered, dying in 1781 a broken man.

      William Ellery, of Rhode Island, who marveled that he had seen only “undaunted resolution” in the faces of his co-signers, also had his home burned.

      Only days after Lewis Morris of New York signed the Declaration, British troops ravaged his 2,000-acre estate, butchered his cattle and drove his family off the land. Three of Morris’ sons fought the British.

      When the British seized the New York houses of the wealthy Philip Livingston, he sold off everything else, and gave the money to the Revolution. He died in 1778.

      Arthur Middleton, Edward Rutledge and Thomas Heyward Jr. went home to South Carolina. In the British invasion of the South, Heyward was wounded and all three were captured. As he rotted on a prison ship in St. Augustine, Heyward’s plantation was raided, buildings burned, and his wife, who witnessed it all, died. Other Southern signers suffered the same general fate.

      Among the first to sign had been John Hancock, who wrote in big, bold script so George III “could read my name without spectacles and could now double his reward for 500 pounds for my head.” If the cause of the revolution commands it, roared Hancock, “Burn Boston and make John Hancock a beggar!”

      Here were men who believed in a cause far beyond themselves.

      Such were the stories and sacrifices of the America revolution. These were not wild eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged: “For the support of this Declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

      So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these great patriots. It’s not much to ask for the price they paid. Remember: freedom is never free!

      • It’s a history I’ve never delved into but found it to be inspiring. The founders of your country read as people of high moral character that bet their all towards an ideal. In doing so, generated a dynamics that changed the world. It was a bottom up burst of creative energy that happened from average Joes that were allowed to thrive in the symbiosis of a free and open society that had horizons. People came to these shores to escape oppression only to be followed by that very same corruption that holds humanity indentured not be their own volition.

  13. What does it mean to be tax exempt for organized religion? Is not “the government” defining what is and is not legitimate religion? Isn’t this in itself a disparagement of the First Amendment? I think it is quite obviously so. The ‘government’ has no legitimate authority to decide what is real religion.

    The only just answer to this predicament is to have no income tax at all, to make all individuals exempt. Which is actually constitutional, if one grasps that Constitution.

    Thomas Jefferson’s theory of public debt repudiation illustrates both the normative and positive aspects of public debt repudiation. Using Jefferson’s model, this paper attempts to reveal several characteristics of public debt repudiation. First, that the positive characteristics of repudiation can not be analyzed apart from the normative and institutional issues. Second, how a debt repudiation rule might be incorporated into a country’s constitution and, finally, how such a rule may lead to an improvement of the country’s credit terms over those that would exist otherwise. In other words, a country may be better off announcing its standards for repudiation then if it denied any intention to repudiate under any conditions. A related issue, which is beyond the scope of this paper, is the sufficient conditions for repudiation. Jefferson’s model develops only the necessary conditions.

    “In a free-market economy that respects property rights, the volume of private debt is self-policed by the necessity to repay the creditor, since no Papa Government is letting you off the hook. In addition, the interest rate a debtor must pay depends not only on the general rate of time preference but on the degree of risk he as a debtor poses to the creditor. A good credit risk will be a “prime borrower,” who will pay relatively low interest; on the other hand, an improvident person or a transient who has been bankrupt before, will have to pay a much higher interest rate, commensurate with the degree of risk on the loan.

    Most people, unfortunately, apply the same analysis to public debt as they do to private. If sanctity of contracts should rule in the world of private debt, shouldn’t they be equally as sacrosanct in public debt? Shouldn’t public debt be governed by the same principles as private? The answer is no, even though such an answer may shock the sensibilities of most people. The reason is that the two forms of debt-transaction are totally different. If I borrow money from a mortgage bank, I have made a contract to transfer my money to a creditor at a future date; in a deep sense, he is the true owner of the money at that point, and if I don’t pay I am robbing him of his just property. But when government borrows money, it does not pledge its own money; its own resources are not liable. Government commits not its own life, fortune, and sacred honor to repay the debt, but ours. This is a horse, and a transaction, of a very different color.

    For unlike the rest of us, government sells no productive good or service and therefore earns nothing. It can only get money by looting our resources through taxes, or through the hidden tax of legalized counterfeiting known as “inflation.”

    Leading Austrian-school economist Murray Rothbard – an American – wrote in 1992:

    “I propose … out-right debt repudiation. Consider this question: why should the poor, battered citizens of Russia or Poland or the other ex-Communist countries be bound by the debts contracted by their former Communist masters? In the Communist situation, the injustice is clear: that citizens struggling for freedom and for a free-market economy should be taxed to pay for debts contracted by the monstrous former ruling class. But this injustice only differs by degree from “normal” public debt. For, conversely, why should the Communist government of the Soviet Union have been bound by debts contracted by the Czarist government they hated and overthrew? And why should we, struggling American citizens of today, be bound by debts created by a … ruling elite who contracted these debts at our expense?”

      Economics professor Steve Keen is also calling for a debt jubilee, stating:

      We should write the debt off, bankrupt the banks, nationalize the financial system, and start all over again.

      We need a twenty-first century jubilee.

      [We’re going into] a never-ending depression unless we repudiate the debt, which never should have been extended in the first place.

      If we keep the parasitic banking sector alive, the economy dies. We have to kill the parasites and give a chance to the real economy to thrive once more and stop the financial [crooks] doing what they did this time around ever again.

      Economics professor Michael Hudson – who also calls for a debt jubiliee – writes:

      The only way to resolve the [European debt crisis] is to negotiate a debt write-off.

Before 2010 Greece had a corrupt two-party system that was put in place after the fall of the extreme-right colonel regime that boasted political clientelism and bribe politics. Nobody cared about this when Greece became a member of the European Union in 1981, nor in 2002 when Greece joined the euro zone. The whole thing exploded later when it became obvious that the corrupt Greek elite with the help of Goldman Sachs bankers had cooked the books. No problem, the EU knew what to do. The European Commission and the European Central Bank asked the IMF for help, and these three institutions together were called the Troika. This Troika landed in Athens in May 2010 to solve the problem. The outcome of the Troika was dramatic. Not one single problem was solved. Quite the contrary. All, literally all the problems grew worse. The “sleepwalking towards Grexit” as you called that period, was in reality a disaster with a gigantic human toll. I wrote this in 2011, barely one year after Troika’s arrival, in my book “Hoe durven ze?” (“How dare they?”).

The disturbances of 1968, which in several countries lasted into the following years, having nowhere overthrown the existing organization of the society from which it springs apparently spontaneously, the spectacle has thus continued to gather strength, that is, to spread to the furthest limits on all sides, while increasing its density in the center. It has even learnt new defensive techniques, as powers under attack always do. When I began the critique of spectacular society, what was particularly noticed — given the period — was the revolutionary content that could be discovered in that critique; and it was naturally felt to be its most troublesome element. As to the spectacle itself, I was sometimes accused of having invented it out of thin air, and was always accused of indulging myself to excess in my evaluation of its depth and unity, and its real workings. I must admit that others who later published new books on the same subject demonstrated that it was quite possible to say less.       but destined to continual reduction and, moreover, increasingly highlighted
      and classified to suit the spectacle’s requirements, there remains nothing,
      in culture or in nature, which has not been transformed, and polluted,
      according to the means and interests of modern industry. Even genetics

  23. The Problem of Greece Is Not Only a Tragedy. It Is a Lie

    An historic betrayal has consumed Greece. Having set aside the mandate of the Greek electorate, the Syriza government has willfully ignored last week’s landslide “No” vote and secretly agreed a raft of repressive, impoverishing measures in return for a “bailout” that means sinister foreign control and a warning to the world.

    Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has pushed through parliament a proposal to cut at least 13 billion euros from the public purse – 4 billion euros more than the “austerity” figure rejected overwhelmingly by the majority of the Greek population in a referendum on 5 July.

    These reportedly include a 50 per cent increase in the cost of healthcare for pensioners, almost 40 per cent of whom live in poverty; deep cuts in public sector wages; the complete privatization of public facilities such as airports and ports; a rise in value added tax to 23 per cent, now applied to the Greek islands where people struggle to eke out a living. There is more to come.

    “Anti-austerity party sweeps to stunning victory”, declared aGuardian headline on January 25. “Radical leftists” the paper called Tsipras and his impressively-educated comrades. They wore open neck shirts, and the finance minister rode a motorbike and was described as a “rock star of economics”. It was a façade. They were not radical in any sense of that cliched label, neither were they “anti austerity”.

    For six months Tsipras and the recently discarded finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, shuttled between Athens and Brussels, Berlin and the other centres of European money power. Instead of social justice for Greece, they achieved a new indebtedness, a deeper impoverishment that would merely replace a systemic rottenness based on the theft of tax revenue by the Greek super-wealthy – in accordance with European “neo-liberal” values — and cheap, highly profitable loans from those now seeking Greece’s scalp.

    Greece’s debt, reports an audit by the Greek parliament, “is illegal, illegitimate and odious”. Proportionally, it is less than 30 per cent that of the debit of Germany, its major creditor. It is less than the debt of European banks whose “bailout” in 2007-8 was barely controversial and unpunished.

    For a small country such as Greece, the euro is a colonial currency: a tether to a capitalist ideology so extreme that even the Pope pronounces it “intolerable” and “the dung of the devil”. The euro is to Greece what the US dollar is to remote territories in the Pacific, whose poverty and servility is guaranteed by their dependency.

    In their travels to the court of the mighty in Brussels and Berlin, Tsipras and Varoufakis presented themselves neither as radicals nor “leftists” nor even honest social democrats, but as two slightly upstart supplicants in their pleas and demands. Without underestimating the hostility they faced, it is fair to say they displayed no political courage. More than once, the Greek people found out about their “secret austerity plans” in leaks to the media: such as a 30 June letter published in the Financial Times, in which Tsipras promised the heads of the EU, the European Central Bank and the IMF to accept their basic, most vicious demands – which he has now accepted.

    When the Greek electorate voted “no” on 5 July to this very kind of rotten deal, Tsipras said, “Come Monday and the Greek government will be at the negotiating table after the referendum with better terms for the Greek people”. Greeks had not voted for “better terms”. They had voted for justice and for sovereignty, as they had done on January 25.

    The day after the January election a truly democratic and, yes, radical government would have stopped every euro leaving the country, repudiated the “illegal and odious” debt – as Argentina did successfully — and expedited a plan to leave the crippling Eurozone. But there was no plan. There was only a willingness to be “at the table” seeking “better terms”.

    The true nature of Syriza has been seldom examined and explained. To the foreign media it is no more than “leftist” or “far left” or “hardline” – the usual misleading spray. Some of Syriza’s international supporters have reached, at times, levels of cheer leading reminiscent of the rise of Barack Obama. Few have asked: Who are these “radicals”? What do they believe in?

    In 2013, Yanis Varoufakis wrote:

    “Should we welcome this crisis of European capitalism as an opportunity to replace it with a better system? Or should we be so worried about it as to embark upon a campaign for stabilising capitalism? To me, the answer is clear. Europe’s crisis is far less likely to give birth to a better alternative to capitalism …

    “I bow to the criticism that I have campaigned on an agenda founded on the assumption that the left was, and remains, squarely defeated …. Yes, I would love to put forward [a] radical agenda. But, no, I am not prepared to commit the [error of the British Labour Party following Thatcher’s victory].

    “What good did we achieve in Britain in the early 1980s by promoting an agenda of socialist change that British society scorned while falling headlong into Thatcher’s neoliberal trip? Precisely none. What good will it do today to call for a dismantling of the Eurozone, of the European Union itself …?”

    Varoufakis omits all mention of the Social Democratic Party that split the Labour vote and led to Blairism. In suggesting people in Britain “scorned socialist change” – when they were given no real opportunity to bring about that change – he echoes Blair.

    The leaders of Syriza are revolutionaries of a kind – but their revolution is the perverse, familiar appropriation of social democratic and parliamentary movements by liberals groomed to comply with neo-liberal drivel and a social engineering whose authentic face is that of Wolfgang Schauble, Germany’s finance minister, an imperial thug. Like the Labour Party in Britain and its equivalents among those former social democratic parties still describing themselves as “liberal” or even “left”, Syriza is the product of an affluent, highly privileged, educated middle class, “schooled in postmodernism”, as Alex Lantier wrote.

    For them, class is the unmentionable, let alone an enduring struggle, regardless of the reality of the lives of most human beings. Syriza’s luminaries are well-groomed; they lead not the resistance that ordinary people crave, as the Greek electorate has so bravely demonstrated, but “better terms” of a venal status quo that corrals and punishes the poor. When merged with “identity politics” and its insidious distractions, the consequence is not resistance, but subservience. “Mainstream” political life in Britain exemplifies this.

    This is not inevitable, a done deal, if we wake up from the long, postmodern coma and reject the myths and deceptions of those who claim to represent us, and fight.

    Tsipras, locked in fraught negotiations with EU leaders in Brussels until Monday morning, indicated that he would carry the Athens parliament, despite some defections, in a vote on the package by Wednesday.

    Determined to keep his party together ahead of an expected onslaught by MPs opposing the outlined deal, Tsipras summoned his closest allies to a meeting in Athens before a gathering of his parliamentary party on Tuesday.

    Likening the deal to the 1919 Versailles treaty – widely seen as the harbinger of the second world war for its crushing of Weimar Germany – the former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis called it “unviable”.

    “This has nothing to do with economics. It has nothing to do with putting Greece back on the rails towards recovery,” he told Australia’s public broadcaster, the ABC.

    “This is a new Versailles treaty that is haunting Europe again, and the prime minister [Alexis Tsipras] knows it. He knows he’s damned if he does and he’s damned if he doesn’t.”

    Panos Kammenos said a demand that Athens hands over €50bn in assets from privatisations as collateral for fresh loans was a form of “confiscation” and “we cannot agree to that”.

    Despite the mounting anger of many Greek politicians, world equity prices rallied at the plan to keep Greece afloat with a bailout and within the eurozone.

    European stock markets surged almost 2% while Wall Street jumped more than 1% after a breakthrough came early on Monday when Donald Tusk, president of the European council, announced that the 19 eurozone leaders had unanimously reached agreement to keep Greece in the single currency, adding that Athens had signed up to “serious reforms”.

    But the deal, which one EU official said came after Tsipras was “waterboarded” into submission, faces huge obstacles in the form of national parliament votes in Germany, Latvia, Slovakia and possibly France, which could all balk at the extra €86bn (£62bn) offered to Greece in loans under the terms of the bailout.
    Tsipras did manage to win a concession that the fund should be managed from Greece, not Luxembourg, as envisaged in a German plan, but the rules will be drawn up by Greece’s creditors – the troika that Tsipras vowed to throw off, but only succeeded in renaming as “the institutions”.

The other narrator made some points but still stayed bought into the storyline. You have to admit that “THEY” spun a whopper to still be followed by many, more than two thousand years later.But then, 300 years of inquisition would grind that into the psyche of humankind.

      Prior to the Middle Ages, the term gospel didn’t exist. The Greek term evangelion is of importance here (root term for the modern-day “evangelical”).

      Prior to Christianity, the term evangelion had as much or more meaning and emotion in Roman culture as gospel has in Christianity today.

      The Romans proclaimed evangelion to announce a new Caesar or a birth of a divine heir to the throne.[1]

      The earliest Christian writings (the first three Gospels in their original translations) used the term in nearly identical fashion to the Roman use:

It certainly reveals no honesty, openness and candour on the part of the “great prophet” Abraham, the father of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Abraham deceives his own son in order to kill him, and all in the name of his “God”.

    50 years ago was of course, 1965. That is the year I graduated from high school. So I assume I am somewhere around 10 years or so senior to Mr Barrett. But I shall be referring to roughly the same era as we both experienced it in Amerika.

    Barrett asserts in his opening sentence that in this era; “few Americans doubted that religion deserved special protection, and that religious beliefs about the sanctity of life and property were a major source, if not the major source, of both legislation and social convention.”

    Whether it is true or not that few Americans doubted these things is beside the points I will be making, but for the time being let us say that it is probably so to certain extent that most Amerikans were as religiously myopic as Barrett is claiming. The real questions are, 1) Does religion deserve special protection? 2) In what context was this “protection” made? 3) What is meant by “the sanctity of life and property”?
    4) If it is true that religion was “a major source, if not the major source, of both legislation and social convention,” is this proper for a constitutional republic established for the purpose of protecting individual liberty and providing unbiased justice to all human beings residing within it’s jurisdiction?

    I will address these first 4 points first and continue with the rest of Barrett’s paragraph after that.

    Point 1. Does religion deserve special protection?

    The answer to this question must be predicated on a proper definition of what exactly is meant by the term, “religion”. Mr Barrett seems to assume that ‘religion’ is confined to adherence to the major ‘Organized Religions’, and more specifically Judeo-Christian and Islam, or the Abrahamic Religions spawned in the so-called “Holy Land” of the Middle East. Temple, Church, & Mosque.

    It should be obvious that this definition of ‘religion’ is truncated and incomplete. Is this narrow and stunted definition of religion due to happenstance? Or is there an agenda that benefits from this? Isn’t the concept of religion based in the context of spirituality? Or is it actually more to do with political power when we consider the ‘Organized Religions’? The question forms now, and must be put bluntly, is ‘spirituality’ secondary to the agenda of political power in the realm of organized religion? What do the lessons of history have to say to this concept?

    Now to get to a point herein that addresses Barrett in his second paragraph; “tax breaks for churches were taken for granted”. Which churches? Why the mainstream churches we have been discussing, of course. So here we have the very admixture of ‘church & state’ that the First Amendment speaks to in it’s addressing “religious freedom”:

    The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.

    The very first prohibition in the First Amendment is that of “the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion”. Is it not obvious that the government in making the decision to give tax exemption to particular churches or religions does in fact “establish” those religions as proper and bonafide, while at the same time excluding all other modes of spiritual worship and faith? If the government is to decide what is and is not legitimate spiritual belief, that is in effect the establishment of religion. Beyond these points, it is obvious that the amendment was meant to protect individuals from religion as well as protect those believing in particular religions, this is why the freedom of speech is part of the context of this same amendment.

    Barrett mentions, “the prohibition of blasphemy” in the paragraph under discussion. A prohibition of blasphemy is clearly repugnant to the terms of free speech protected by the First Amendment.

    I shall define the charge of “Blasphemy” as: ‘Rejecting any inquiry that does not agree, and the providence of punishments for those who do not agree with religious dogma’.

    [An important aside: One holy book is deeply concerned with blasphemy: the Bible. In the Old Testament, blasphemy and blasphemers are condemned and prescribed harsh punishment. The best-known passage on this is Leviticus 24:16 : “Anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.”
    By contrast, the word blasphemy appears nowhere in the Koran. It is therefore mysterious that Barrett brings up this term, as he claims to be Muslim.]

    Point 2. In what context was this “protection” of religion made?
    I have spoken to this above. But to put it plainly this protection is provided first of all by governmental tax exemption. This is made possible by reframing history to confuse the original meaning of the First Amendment (as well as all the other amendments). This is accomplished through Public Relations, ie Propaganda.

    Point 3. What is meant by “the sanctity of life and property”?
    Life and Property are in fact two separate propositions.
    What is meant by the “sanctity of life” in the context that Barrett has put it? He makes this clear enough with this: “abortion was everywhere illegal and almost universally despised..” So Barrett is referring to the sanctity of life in the context of the dispute over abortion. His position is made clear in this way. He is opposed to the concept of a woman’s inherent right to her own body. He is in favor of government deciding what the individual can and cannot do with their own body. His commentary on drugs and prohibitions echoes this attitude as to an individuals right to eat, drink, smoke, and think whatever the individual desires. Barrett is obviously opposed to the rights of homosexuals to engage in same sex partnerships and intimate relations.

    All of these attitudes found in this paragraph by Kevin Barrett stand in opposition to the Principles of Individual Liberty.

    It is my view that Barrett is a religious fanatic [sīˈkädik/] and a bane to human freedom and justice. Religious fanatics are inevitably Statist, as they demand the state to enforce their religious laws and dogma. Barrett would bring on a theocracy were he to have his way politically.

    • I have entitled this book The Technological Bluff. Most who see the title
      will react sternly. Technique is an area in which bluff is not permitted. Things
      are plain in technique -either one can or one cannot. When it is said that
      people will walk on the moon, shortly afterward they do. When it is said that
      an artificial heart can be inserted, it is done and it works. Where is the bluff?
      But the problem is one of language. American usage has implanted in our
      minds the idea that the word technology refers to actual processes. This is
      the way the media use the term. But in a strict sense technology is discourse
      on technique. It involves the study of a technique, a philosophy or sociology
      of technique, instruction in a technique. To talk of computer technologies or
      space technologies when the reference is to technical means of
      communication or to the building and use of rockets, orbital stations, etc., is
      strictly ridiculous. I realize that my protest is useless in face of a usage
      established by collective ignorance, but I have to justify my title. I am not
      referring to technical bluff. I am not trying to show that
      techniques do not deliver what they Promise, that technicians are bluffers.
      That would make no sense. I am talking about technological bluff, about the
      gigantic bluff in which discourse on techniques envelops us, making us
      believe anything and, far worse, changing our whole attitude to techniques:
      the bluff of Politicians, the bluff of the media, the bluff of technicians when
      they talk about techniques instead of working at them, the bluff of publicity,
      the bluff of economic models.

      Discovery of this bluff led me into strange areas. The bluff consists
      essentially of rearranging everything in terms of technical progress, which
      with prodigious diversification offers us in every direction such varied
      possibilities that we can imagine nothing else. Discourse on technique is not
      justification of techniques (which is not necessary) but a demonstration of the
      prodigious power, diversity, success, universal application, and impeccability
      of techniques. And when I say bluff, it is because so many successes and
      exploits are ascribed to techniques (without regard for the cost or utility or
      risk), because technique is regarded in advance as the only solution to
      collective problems (unemployment, Third World misery, pollution, war) or
      individual problems (health, family life, even the meaning of life), and because
      at the same time it is seen as the only chance for progress and development
      in every society. 4 There is bluff here because the effective possibilities are
      multiplied a hundredfold in such discussions and the negative aspects are
      radically concealed. But the bluff is not without great effect. Thus it
      transforms a technique of implicit and unavowed last resort into a technique
      of explicit and avowed last resort. It also causes us to live in a world of
      diversion and illusion which goes far beyond that of ten years ago. It finally
      sucks us into this world by banishing all our ancient reservations and fears.

    Throughout recorded history, humankind have had very short lifespans. After the advent of agriculture, the average life expectancy shrunk to much less than 40 years. This is not a lot of time to figure out life. On top of that, with the advent of civilization, people had to toil most of the day under feudal lords. Most of them were slaves. Knowledge was scarce. Whatever knowledge was available was held by the elite. The high priests, royalty and the wealthy were the only ones with access to any knowledge. Most people were illiterate. They lived in ignorance.

    At the advent of the printing press, knowledge became more available, especially in the developed countries. Libraries became common place and books became affordable. In many places around the world, people are offered a basic education for free. Our life span has nearly doubled, and knowledge exponentiated. Now most people have access to basic knowledge about atoms, quantum theory, stars and galaxies and so many things in between.

    Then came the advent of the computer and the internet. Now we don’t have to wonder about things, we Google it. We live in the information age, and most knowledge is at our fingertips. Many universities have free online courses. There is no longer an excuse to be ignorant. It is a choice. Many people choose to remain ignorant. That is a misfortune.

    In the ancient Puranas it is stated that a person’s situation in life is dependent upon two conditions: his energy and his intelligence. These are the main two factors that dictate a person’s life. If you don’t have sufficient intelligence, you won’t know how to properly apply your energy to accomplish things sufficiently or properly. If you don’t have sufficient intelligence, you will make many poor decisions that cause problems. I’ve seen this far too many times in my life. Common sense has become rare. There is a large percentage of Americans who are not interested in knowledge.

    These are a few statistics of literacy in America:

    50% of U.S. adults are unable to read an 8th grade level book
    33% of U.S. high school graduates will never read a book after high school
    42% of college students will never read another book after they graduate
    80% of U.S. families did not buy a book this year
    70% of adults have not been in a book store in the past 5 years
    American high school students today are reading books intended for children with reading levels of a 10 year old
    As you can see, a large percentage of people in America choose to live in ignorance. They have no interest in exploring new topics, researching or asking questions. Could this be the fruition of public schools? They shove so much information into kids in their formative years so fast, that when they get out, they have lost their desire to learn. It’s as if they have no sense of wonder.

    We are living in a society where most people have chosen to remain ignorant of so many things in their life. As the saying goes, you can spot a fool when he opens his mouth.

    There is an old saying in India, “It is better to have an intelligent enemy than a foolish friend.” There is a long, intricate story about this and we see it all the time in our own lives. Foolish friends always seem to involve you in their problems; usually asking for help to fix whatever they wrecked.

    The Information Age of Ignorance
    So here we are in the information age, and the majority of the people choose to remain in ignorance. Then they complain about their situation. They cannot appreciate the fact that in the past, such knowledge was not even available. They have lost their sense of wonder. They are completely content to remain in ignorance.

    I know people that seem incapable of even processing information. It’s as if they can’t hear what you are saying, or comprehend what they are reading. It doesn’t even register. And then there are the ones that can’t formulate simple sentences. Sometimes I wonder where I am.


    I am referring to practical knowledge. Practical knowledge is necessary to navigate safely through the matrix; knowing how things work, how to repair things, grow food, cook. The arts of logic, science, the arts, philosophy, psychology, critical thinking, creativity, originality, proper discernment can all be regarded as branches of knowledge as well. All of these can be very beneficial on one’s journey. But without proper practical knowledge, it is difficult to navigate through life without causing many problems.

    I am not suggesting that everyone should go to college, get a Ph.D and be recognized as a genius. On the contrary, state schools are a big part of the problem. What I am speaking of is having enough knowledge to glide through life, rather than to stumble through, causing problems and breaking things.The ability to think clearly and process information are undervalued in our society. It’s important to use common sense and logic. The ability to have coherent conversations and be observant determine whether or not you fail or thrive in a society. To have the ability to comprehend complex ideas, and to have the desire to learn new things, make life interesting and worthwhile.

    Something in our world is just not right!

    When I was young, I seem to remember that most people had a head on their shoulders. People were smart enough, had their wits about them, could think straight and could converse intelligibly. It’s not like that anymore. Something has happened. It’s been interesting watching the world go through such dramatic changes in the last 50 years. You would think that people would become smarter, and some people have, but it seems the masses are going in the opposite direction swiftly. I imagine the state school systems are a major cause of this; that and TV.

    An ignorant populace is easy to control. They don’t ask questions, they don’t look behind the curtain. They just accept what they are told. This is what has been engineered by the controllers. People have been expertly programmed to be obedient and ignorant slaves.

    This is not an easy thing to wake up to, especially when you see that you were programmed to live out a life as one of those slaves. It’s challenging when you realize that you also ignored the truth that had been within arms reach for your entire life. I am constantly reminded that I was also programmed.

    So now what do you do? How do you go about waking up people that are so deeply programmed, so uninterested in waking up, ignorant of the world they are living in, ready to attack you if you try to awaken them?

    Which brings me to my final point. Perhaps I’ve been wrong. Maybe most people really don’t have a choice. It’s possible that others are stuck in their default mode of ignorance, unable to free themselves or be freed. The programming that has been active to dumb down the population is so all-encompassing, that it may be impossible for many people to even choose to wake up from their ignorance. Their brain just doesn’t function normally anymore. An overabundance of TV, state schools, processed food, fluoride, vaccinations, and so many other poisons, have stunted people’s brains.

    Isn’t it ironic?

    We have tremendous knowledge at our fingertips, and we have been dumbed down, hypnotized, to not be interested in it. Instead we’re easily distracted by a never ending stream of trivia. There is now an abundance of knowledge, and we cannot process it properly. In the past, when knowledge was scarce, people were hungry for it. Now that it is so easily available, no one appreciates it. Yes, it is ironic isn’t it?

    13. June 17, 2015: Russia and China announced that all natural gas and crude oil sales between

    14. June 17, 2015: The State of Texas has signed a bill that calls for the repatriation of their gold from the Federal Government.     15. June 17, 2015: Greece’s Hellenic Parliament’s Debt Truth Committee released a report stating that the debt Greece “owes” is illegal, illegitimate and odious, according to international law.     16. June 18th, 2015: Baron David de Rothschild has been indicted by a French court over financial fraud. French police have been ordered by the court to track down Baron.     17. June 18, 2015: In a 2-1 ruling, the 2nd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals says Bush era officials can be held liable for detaining innocent people after the 9/11 attack. Will this lead to some major arrests?

June 19, 2015: While European leaders try to save face on the debt crisis, Greek PM Alexis Tsipras was in Russia and gave a speech at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, stating that “the economic center of the planet has already shifted” and that new powers are playing an “important role on an economic and geopolitical level.” * Reread story header number 8…BRICS, anyone? Oh, and Greece and Russia signed a €2 billion gas pipeline deal that day too…a strategic economic and geopolitical game-changer.

    19. July 5th, 2015: Greece votes “NO” to the creditors’ bailout offer. This is a massive stance for humanity that Greece just took against the banking elite. As of this writing, a “deal” has been reached but is expected to fall apart in the coming days. Kicking the can down the road does not solve the issue, but rather speeds up the revolution mindset of many frustrated Greek citizens. September/October is when many financial experts are saying that some fireworks are to be expected.

    20. July 7th, 2015: The BRICS Bank officially opens for business.

    21. July 8th, 2015: On this day, several strange events occurred. The NYSE was taken down for multiple hours, the Wall Street Journal was taken offline just after the stock exchange went down, United Airlines was forced to ground all of its flights nationwide due to computer “issues,” and 2,500 people losing power in Washington D.C. This whistle-blower journalist just wrote that his Pentagon sources said the Pentagon/BRICS Alliance took it down as a “dry run.”

    22. July 7th, 2015: Backing up one day we see that the hacking group Anonymous tweeted this on the evening prior to the stock exchange hack: Wonder if tomorrow is going to be bad for Wall Street….we can only hope.

    24. July 15th, 2015: Santa Cruz County votes to stop doing business with 5 major banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Barclays, Citigroup, Royal Bank of Scotland and UBS. Watch this set off a chain reaction in those who will follow suit.

    On July 14, 2015 The California Office of the Attorney General gave the green light for a referendum of Senate Bill 277 (SB277). The referendum gives communities initially activated by SB277’s thinly veiled attack on their children and medical rights a new target to aim their massive numbers towards. Amidst the run-up to SB277 in California activists, doctors, nurses and politicians all became mobilized daily to voice disapproval and disbelief. As the wave of unpopularity gathered major momentum, media blackouts increased. However the unlikely megaviral moment came from the Twitter account of actor Jim Carrey. Carrey’s “Tweets heard around the world” blasted California Governor Jerry Brown, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), pharmaceutical companies and known toxic vaccine ingredients. A hero was born for medical choice.

    The attention Carrey generated was too much too fast for a mainstream media with deep ties to vaccine manufacturers. His Twitter messages were simple and posed a direct threat because they pointed to the truth. The potential revenue to be generated by the passing of SB277 by drug companies was instantly threatened and now at stake. Carry’s 14.8 million Twitter followers were sizable adversaries easily dwarfing the readership of most media outlets combined. The mainstream word went out quickly to counter his stance. Attack the man, spin the story, muddy the waters do it all so his message doesn’t stick in the consciousness of the people.

    We are living in perhaps the most exciting and challenging time in history. The acceleration of information from every side continues to pour in while the spiritual awakening bursts upon us.     That humanity faces a psychopathic otherworldly driven agenda is evident, and has been for a long time. The advancement of technology at this rapidly rising peak of this crescendo brings new dimensions to our planet and existence. The ultimate power tools are now available to darkly driven forces and we are increasingly forced to deal with them on a daily basis as they steer towards their totalitarian nightmare.

    This massive program is not a briskly brushed aside issue by any stretch of the imagination. Too much has been at work and covertly engineered for far too long to stop their progression – entirely.

    But it is destined to fail. The question is: will it be now? It’s up to us.

    The Struggle Is Real
    Everything natural, growing and spontaneous in our marvelous Universe attests to the eventual downfall of any and all controlling mechanisms. These living proofs are markers dear to our awakened hearts, regardless of power crazed entities’ devastating designs of oppression and genocide. Life survives, just as plant life always comes back again despite forest fires, volcanic eruptions or massive earth changes.

No matter how much some may attempt to over-spiritualize this reality, the growth cycle clearly involves living amidst adversity and learning to not just survive, but cooperate in love and harmony together despite oppositional forces.


    The missing factor has been doing what we can to dismantle their destructive mechanisms. This is the stage we now find ourselves after far too much time blindly trusting authority and abdicating our power and capabilities to overlords, many disguised as so-called elected representatives, while others are outright oligarchs who’ve been in place for eons without disruption.

    How It Will Play Out
    It’s clear things will get worse before they get better. While this current world we’re confronting is simply a snapshot in eternity, it cannot be minimized or ignored any longer. Too many forces are in the hands of madness to not be used to some degree. We see this in the roll out of the AI agenda as well as the monetary, biotech and geoengineering programs, to name just a few. For these despotic forces to not attempt to utilize these insane programs, most of which are already in process after decades of preparation, is counter-intuitive, however nightmarish the current as well as coming effects may be.

    It’s a form of momentum and very difficult to stop altogether. We can expose what’s going on and help people prepare as well as speak up and fight this as much as possible. However, their meglomaniacal designs have been going on full throttle while humanity was lulled to sleep and distracted from seeing its intended control and obvious violence and death fixation to satisfy their parasitic cravings.

    A fundamental truth many are uncomfortable with as true as it is, but seeing the enemy for who they are is intrinsic to knowing how to expose, resist and defeat them.

    The Lynch Pin of Activation – Downing the Archon Agenda
    On the bright side we’re taking their ill-c0nceived and wickedly intentioned construct of death and control down. One step, one article, one video, one conversation, one awakening, one empowerment, one loving deed, one concerned action at a time. This is our heart cry and the calling we’re learning to step into.

    You can visualize this as the crashing of massive spacecraft that are attempting to overtake our planet, much like we saw in the movie Independence Day. Their eventual end will have dire consequences on the rest of us since they’ve interwoven their matrix of control into every fabric of human society and even massively interfered with earth’s natural processes.

    But it won’t happen unless we do our part.

    Humanity has been bamboozled. Ironically, these archonic entities trying to control and manipulate us are able to transgress in the name of “freedom” with impunity – something these same entities loathe. Deceit is their number one tool, as perfectly evidenced by the archon possessed Zionist agenda, an outcropping that is so obviously wicked the entire world structure has to deny it even exists.

    Similar to the bully in the playground, these oppressive entropic influences seek complete dominance at the expense of everything in their path. They create and promote anger, violence, greed and self-satisfaction to justify their own ends like a mind worm working its way into the human psyche. This is how they work, softening and even neutralizing opposition of any sort.

    When confronted with the full light of truth, however, they cannot operate.

    These parasites thrive on the principles of the generous life giving nature of our creative Universe, yet want to limit that access for others. In fact they’re insanely jealous of us. There’s a lot to be said about this in the Gnostic texts and other perceptive teachings everyone should be familiar with.

    These archonic cryptoterrestrials in whatever form are real and are behind the scenes engineering our world either directly or using willing, psychopathic idiots amongst us to manage their tasks. It’s an infestation and just as our white blood cells rush to meet destructive micro organisms to preserve our health and well being, so must we behave as conscious warriors of light and true love.

    On the Fulcrum – A Golden Opportunity for Drastic Charge
    As the dystopian skynet-type AI program rolls out and geoengineers, psychoperverts and social engineers continue seeming to implode our planet and race, we stand at an apex of change never before seen in the history of our planet – at least as far as we know. Perhaps we’re replaying the Atlantis vs Lemuria scenario or the ancient Vedic wars. I don’t know, and it doesn’t really matter, although the passing of the Kali Yuga is extremely significant as we make this transition.

    We’re faced with what we’re faced with – very serious challenges and conditions.

    I do feel strongly though that we have an opportunity of the ages, literally. The transition to the next age is upon us but how it comes out is up to us. We can stop the insanity of futile cycles of history and move on to the next level, or not. However you perceive the cycles of life, you have to admit that humanity’s history is a sordid repeating cycle of oppression and violence, despite humankind longing to live in peace and harmony.

    Controllers come and go at will while humanity has simply observed and complied. This is on the precipice of being ended if we will seize the opportunity before us. Synchronistically, or by design, this coincides with the change of ages foreseen by cultures of old.

    The question immediately arises: Is this our ultimate opportunity to leave this repeating cycle, by standing up and defeating the self ordained masters of our race who have sentenced us to this prison-like repeating cycle of abuse? A profound thought.

    I think so.

    Our Potential Outcome But It Must Be Seized
    I visualize a very encouraging conclusion, although wrought with interim destruction and tragedy, much like we’ve witnessed in various sci-fi scenarios. Their programs will fail, but at a great price.

    To be so cavalier as to think the destructive aspect would be fully averted is nonsense to me and wishful, blissful thinking that fills our current outlook with mind-numbing soma that keeps us from appropriate action. Just look at the constant escalation of outright war and genocide, never mind the geophysical, economic and mad science manipulations running amok. It’s not letting up.

    This new agey misleading so-called “pacifist” mindset that all is cool and everything will be taken care of by the “others” of whichever description, or just go “Om on the Range” while the world crumbles, is not the case or solution by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a deliberately disabling, debilitating and ultimately destructive imposed paradigm of social and personal disempowerment, however “cool” or trendy. Simple research into who and what agencies and institutes are behind these psyop movements will clarify any questions you may have.

    But ultimately those who align themselves with this feel good gobbledygook are copping out from taking personal action and responsibility.

    Indeed, turning a deaf ear to Washington’s disapproval of Russia’s St. Petersburg initiative, some 10,000 participants rushed to join the International Economic Forum, which resulted in over 200 contracts worth $5.4 billion.
    To the surprise of many, Western companies such as Britain’s BP and the Anglo-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell, and Germany’s E.ON, have inked a number of new lucrative deals with Moscow.

    For instance, Russia’s giant Gazprom signed a memorandum on the construction of a new gas pipeline to Germany through the Baltic Sea with E.ON, Shell and Vienna-based OMV and discussed the necessity for new direct routes for direct gas supplies to Europe with French company ENGIE.

    “Considering the decline of local extraction of gas in Europe and the increase in demand, European companies need to develop new infrastructure to guarantee Russian gas supply to European consumers,” Gazprom said in an official statement as quoted by the economic researcher.

    On the other hand, Russia’s Rosneft has created a new British-Russian energy joint venture with BP.
    So far, Western companies have sent “a clear signal to their NATO-tied governments that they do not regard Russian sanctions as a hindrance to further cooperation with Russia in development of Russia’s vast undeveloped hydrocarbon resources,” the historian emphasized.

    In order to push ahead with the Turkish Stream project, Moscow has also signed a gas deal with Athens, extending its pipeline through the territory of Greece and aiming to create a new gas hub on the territory of the EU country.

    However, “one of the most geopolitically fascinating developments around the St. Petersburg forum was the appearance of Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Defense Minister and son of King Salman,” Mr. Engdahl stressed.

    Remarkably, Russia and Saudi Arabia discussed not only the details of future bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear energy (Riyadh plans to build up to 16 nuclear reactors with Russia’s assistance), but also focused on potential arms deals, despite the fact Saudi Arabia has long been considered a primary arms customer of the US and Great Britain.
    “No doubt the May 9 Moscow parade of the most advanced Russian weapons systems caught the eye of Prince bin Salman,” the researcher pointed out.

    Quoting the old Chinese proverb, “A crisis also presents new opportunities,” the historian stressed that Russia is using Western sanctions to breathe new life into its economy. It is obvious that the Western policy of isolation and demonizing of Russia has ultimately failed, he noted.

    How China and Russia Are Running Rings Around Washington

    Let’s start with the geopolitical Big Bang you know nothing about, the one that occurred just two weeks ago. Here are its results: from now on, any possible future attack on Iran threatened by the Pentagon (in conjunction with NATO) would essentially be an assault on the planning of an interlocking set of organizations — the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), the EEU (Eurasian Economic Union), the AIIB (the new Chinese-founded Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank), and the NDB (the BRICS’ New Development Bank) — whose acronyms you’re unlikely to recognize either. Still, they represent an emerging new order in Eurasia.

    Tehran, Beijing, Moscow, Islamabad, and New Delhi have been actively establishing interlocking security guarantees. They have been simultaneously calling the Atlanticist bluff when it comes to the endless drumbeat of attention given to the flimsy meme of Iran’s “nuclear weapons program.” And a few days before the Vienna nuclear negotiations finally culminated in an agreement, all of this came together at a twin BRICS/SCO summit in Ufa, Russia — a place you’ve undoubtedly never heard of and a meeting that got next to no attention in the U.S. And yet sooner or later, these developments will ensure that the War Party in Washington and assorted neocons (as well as neoliberalcons) already breathing hard over the Iran deal will sweat bullets as their narratives about how the world works crumble.

    The Eurasian Silk Road

    With the Vienna deal, whose interminable build-up I had the dubious pleasure of following closely, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and his diplomatic team have pulled the near-impossible out of an extremely crumpled magician’s hat: an agreement that might actually end sanctions against their country from an asymmetric, largely manufactured conflict.

    Think of that meeting in Ufa, the capital of Russia’s Bashkortostan, as a preamble to the long-delayed agreement in Vienna. It caught the new dynamics of the Eurasian continent and signaled the future geopolitical Big Bangness of it all. At Ufa, from July 8th to 10th, the 7th BRICS summit and the 15th Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit overlapped just as a possible Vienna deal was devouring one deadline after another.

    Consider it a diplomatic masterstroke of Vladmir Putin’s Russia to have merged those two summits with an informal meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Call it a soft power declaration of war against Washington’s imperial logic, one that would highlight the breadth and depth of an evolving Sino-Russian strategic partnership. Putting all those heads of state attending each of the meetings under one roof, Moscow offered a vision of an emerging, coordinated geopolitical structure anchored in Eurasian integration. Thus, the importance of Iran: no matter what happens post-Vienna, Iran will be a vital hub/node/crossroads in Eurasia for this new structure.

    If you read the declaration that came out of the BRICS summit, one detail should strike you: the austerity-ridden European Union (EU) is barely mentioned. And that’s not an oversight. From the point of view of the leaders of key BRICS nations, they are offering a new approach to Eurasia, the very opposite of the language of sanctions.

    Here are just a few examples of the dizzying activity that took place at Ufa, all of it ignored by the American mainstream media. In their meetings, President Putin, China’s President Xi Jinping, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi worked in a practical way to advance what is essentially a Chinese vision of a future Eurasia knit together by a series of interlocking “new Silk Roads.” Modi approved more Chinese investment in his country, while Xi and Modi together pledged to work to solve the joint border issues that have dogged their countries and, in at least one case, led to war.

    The NDB, the BRICS’ response to the World Bank, was officially launched with $50 billion in start-up capital. Focused on funding major infrastructure projects in the BRICS nations, it is capable of accumulating as much as $400 billion in capital, according to its president, Kundapur Vaman Kamath. Later, it plans to focus on funding such ventures in other developing nations across the Global South — all in their own currencies, which means bypassing the U.S. dollar. Given its membership, the NDB’s money will clearly be closely linked to the new Silk Roads. As Brazilian Development Bank President Luciano Coutinho stressed, in the near future it may also assist European non-EU member states like Serbia and Macedonia. Think of this as the NDB’s attempt to break a Brussels monopoly on Greater Europe. Kamath even advanced the possibility of someday aiding in the reconstruction of Syria.

    You won’t be surprised to learn that both the new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the NDB are headquartered in China and will work to complement each other’s efforts. At the same time, Russia’s foreign investment arm, the Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), signed a memorandum of understanding with funds from other BRICS countries and so launched an informal investment consortium in which China’s Silk Road Fund and India’s Infrastructure Development Finance Company will be key partners.

    Full Spectrum Transportation Dominance

    On the ground level, this should be thought of as part of the New Great Game in Eurasia. Its flip side is the Trans-Pacific Partnership in the Pacific and the Atlantic version of the same, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, both of which Washington is trying to advance to maintain U.S. global economic dominance. The question these conflicting plans raise is how to integrate trade and commerce across that vast region. From the Chinese and Russian perspectives, Eurasia is to be integrated via a complex network of superhighways, high-speed rail lines, ports, airports, pipelines, and fiber optic cables. By land, sea, and air, the resulting New Silk Roads are meant to create an economic version of the Pentagon’s doctrine of “Full Spectrum Dominance” — a vision that already has Chinese corporate executives crisscrossing Eurasia sealing infrastructure deals.

    For Beijing — back to a 7% growth rate in the second quarter of 2015 despite a recent near-panic on the country’s stock markets — it makes perfect economic sense: as labor costs rise, production will be relocated from the country’s Eastern seaboard to its cheaper Western reaches, while the natural outlets for the production of just about everything will be those parallel and interlocking “belts” of the new Silk Roads.

    Meanwhile, Russia is pushing to modernize and diversify its energy-exploitation-dependent economy. Among other things, its leaders hope that the mix of those developing Silk Roads and the tying together of the Eurasian Economic Union — Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan — will translate into myriad transportation and construction projects for which the country’s industrial and engineering know-how will prove crucial.

    As the EEU has begun establishing free trade zones with India, Iran, Vietnam, Egypt, and Latin America’s Mercosur bloc (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela), the initial stages of this integration process already reach beyond Eurasia. Meanwhile, the SCO, which began as little more than a security forum, is expanding and moving into the field of economic cooperation. Its countries, especially four Central Asian “stans” (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan) will rely ever more on the Chinese-driven Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the NDB. At Ufa, India and Pakistan finalized an upgrading process in which they have moved from observers to members of the SCO. This makes it an alternative G8.

    In the meantime, when it comes to embattled Afghanistan, the BRICS nations and the SCO have now called upon “the armed opposition to disarm, accept the Constitution of Afghanistan, and cut ties with Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other terrorist organizations.” Translation: within the framework of Afghan national unity, the organization would accept the Taliban as part of a future government. Their hopes, with the integration of the region in mind, would be for a future stable Afghanistan able to absorb more Chinese, Russian, Indian, and Iranian investment, and the construction — finally! — of a long-planned, $10 billion, 1,420-kilometer-long Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline that would benefit those energy-hungry new SCO members, Pakistan and India. (They would each receive 42% of the gas, the remaining 16% going to Afghanistan.)

    Central Asia is, at the moment, geographic ground zero for the convergence of the economic urges of China, Russia, and India. It was no happenstance that, on his way to Ufa, Prime Minister Modi stopped off in Central Asia. Like the Chinese leadership in Beijing, Moscow looks forward (as a recent document puts it) to the “interpenetration and integration of the EEU and the Silk Road Economic Belt” into a “Greater Eurasia” and a “steady, developing, safe common neighborhood” for both Russia and China.

    And don’t forget Iran. In early 2016, once economic sanctions are fully lifted, it is expected to join the SCO, turning it into a G9. As its foreign minister, Javad Zarif, made clear recently to Russia’s Channel 1 television, Tehran considers the two countries strategic partners. “Russia,” he said, “has been the most important participant in Iran’s nuclear program and it will continue under the current agreement to be Iran’s major nuclear partner.” The same will, he added, be true when it comes to “oil and gas cooperation,” given the shared interest of those two energy-rich nations in “maintaining stability in global market prices.”

    Got Corridor, Will Travel

    Across Eurasia, BRICS nations are moving on integration projects. A developing Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar economic corridor is a typical example. It is now being reconfigured as a multilane highway between India and China. Meanwhile, Iran and Russia are developing a transportation corridor from the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman to the Caspian Sea and the Volga River. Azerbaijan will be connected to the Caspian part of this corridor, while India is planning to use Iran’s southern ports to improve its access to Russia and Central Asia. Now, add in a maritime corridor that will stretch from the Indian city of Mumbai to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas and then on to the southern Russian city of Astrakhan. And this just scratches the surface of the planning underway.

    Years ago, Vladimir Putin suggested that there could be a “Greater Europe” stretching from Lisbon, Portugal, on the Atlantic to the Russian city of Vladivostok on the Pacific. The EU, under Washington’s thumb, ignored him. Then the Chinese started dreaming about and planning new Silk Roads that would, in reverse Marco Polo fashion, extend from Shanghai to Venice (and then on to Berlin).

    Thanks to a set of cross-pollinating political institutions, investment funds, development banks, financial systems, and infrastructure projects that, to date, remain largely under Washington’s radar, a free-trade Eurasian heartland is being born. It will someday link China and Russia to Europe, Southwest Asia, and even Africa. It promises to be an astounding development. Keep your eyes, if you can, on the accumulating facts on the ground, even if they are rarely covered in the American media. They represent the New Great — emphasis on that word — Game in Eurasia.

    Location, Location, Location

    Tehran is now deeply invested in strengthening its connections to this new Eurasia and the man to watch on this score is Ali Akbar Velayati. He is the head of Iran’s Center for Strategic Research and senior foreign policy adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Velayati stresses that security in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and the Caucasus hinges on the further enhancement of a Beijing-Moscow-Tehran triple entente.

    As he knows, geo-strategically Iran is all about location, location, location. That country offers the best access to open seas in the region apart from Russia and is the only obvious east-west/north-south crossroads for trade from the Central Asian “stans.” Little wonder then that Iran will soon be an SCO member, even as its “partnership” with Russia is certain to evolve. Its energy resources are already crucial to and considered a matter of national security for China and, in the thinking of that country’s leadership, Iran also fulfills a key role as a hub in those Silk Roads they are planning.

    That growing web of literal roads, rail lines, and energy pipelines, as TomDispatch has previously reported, represents Beijing’s response to the Obama administration’s announced “pivot to Asia” and the U.S. Navy’s urge to meddle in the South China Sea. Beijing is choosing to project power via a vast set of infrastructure projects, especially high-speed rail lines that will reach from its eastern seaboard deep into Eurasia. In this fashion, the Chinese-built railway from Urumqi in Xinjiang Province to Almaty in Kazakhstan will undoubtedly someday be extended to Iran and traverse that country on its way to the Persian Gulf.

    A New World for Pentagon Planners

    At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum last month, Vladimir Putin told PBS’s Charlie Rose that Moscow and Beijing had always wanted a genuine partnership with the United States, but were spurned by Washington. Hats off, then, to the “leadership” of the Obama administration. Somehow, it has managed to bring together two former geopolitical rivals, while solidifying their pan-Eurasian grand strategy.

    Even the recent deal with Iran in Vienna is unlikely — especially given the war hawks in Congress — to truly end Washington’s 36-year-long Great Wall of Mistrust with Iran. Instead, the odds are that Iran, freed from sanctions, will indeed be absorbed into the Sino-Russian project to integrate Eurasia, which leads us to the spectacle of Washington’s warriors, unable to act effectively, yet screaming like banshees.

    NATO’s supreme commander Dr. Strangelove, sorry, American General Philip Breedlove, insists that the West must create a rapid-reaction force — online — to counteract Russia’s “false narratives.” Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter claims to be seriously considering unilaterally redeploying nuclear-capable missiles in Europe. The nominee to head the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Commandant Joseph Dunford, recently directly labeled Russia America’s true “existential threat”; Air Force General Paul Selva, nominated to be the new vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs, seconded that assessment, using the same phrase and putting Russia, China and Iran, in that order, as more threatening than the Islamic State (ISIS). In the meantime, Republican presidential candidates and a bevy of congressional war hawks simply shout and fume when it comes to both the Iranian deal and the Russians.

    In response to the Ukrainian situation and the “threat” of a resurgent Russia (behind which stands a resurgent China), a Washington-centric militarization of Europe is proceeding apace. NATO is now reportedly obsessed with what’s being called “strategy rethink” — as in drawing up detailed futuristic war scenarios on European soil. As economist Michael Hudson has pointed out, even financial politics are becoming militarized and linked to NATO’s new Cold War 2.0.

    In its latest National Military Strategy, the Pentagon suggests that the risk of an American war with another nation (as opposed to terror outfits), while low, is “growing” and identifies four nations as “threats”: North Korea, a case apart, and predictably the three nations that form the new Eurasian core: Russia, China, and Iran. They are depicted in the document as “revisionist states,” openly defying what the Pentagon identifies as “international security and stability”; that is, the distinctly un-level playing field created by globalized, exclusionary, turbo-charged casino capitalism and Washington’s brand of militarism.

    The Pentagon, of course, does not do diplomacy. Seemingly unaware of the Vienna negotiations, it continued to accuse Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons. And that “military option” against Iran is never off the table.

    So consider it the Mother of All Blockbusters to watch how the Pentagon and the war hawks in Congress will react to the post-Vienna and — though it was barely noticed in Washington — the post-Ufa environment, especially under a new White House tenant in 2017.

    It will be a spectacle. Count on it. Will the next version of Washington try to make it up to “lost” Russia or send in the troops? Will it contain China or the “caliphate” of ISIS? Will it work with Iran to fight ISIS or spurn it? Will it truly pivot to Asia for good and ditch the Middle East or vice-versa? Or might it try to contain Russia, China, and Iran simultaneously or find some way to play them against each other?

    In the end, whatever Washington may do, it will certainly reflect a fear of the increasing strategic depth Russia and China are developing economically, a reality now becoming visible across Eurasia. At Ufa, Putin told Xi on the record: “Combining efforts, no doubt we [Russia and China] will overcome all the problems before us.”

    Read “efforts” as new Silk Roads, that Eurasian Economic Union, the growing BRICS block, the expanding Shanghai Cooperation Organization, those China-based banks, and all the rest of what adds up to the beginning of a new integration of significant parts of the Eurasian land mass. As for Washington, fly like an eagle? Try instead: scream like a banshee.

    As readers of WhoWhatWhy know, our site has been one of the very few continuing to explore the fiery death two years ago of investigative journalist Michael Hastings, whose car left a straight segment of a Los Angeles street at a high speed, jumped the meridian, hit a tree, and blew up.
    Our original report described anomalies of the crash and surrounding events that suggest cutting-edge foul play—that an external hacker could have taken control of Hastings’s car in order to kill him. If this sounds too futuristic, a series of recent technical revelations has proven that “car hacking” is entirely possible. The latest just appeared this week.

    Hackers, seeking to demonstrate the vulnerability of automobiles to remote attacks, were able to largely take over the Jeep Cherokee driven by a writer for the tech magazine Wired:

    Their code is an automaker’s nightmare: software that lets hackers send commands through the Jeep’s entertainment system to its dashboard functions, steering, brakes, and transmission, all from a laptop that may be across the country.

    They were able to make his car decelerate suddenly, causing the writer to “narrowly avert death” at the hands of a semi-trailer coming up behind him.

    In an earlier demonstration, they had been able to do similar things with other vehicles:

    In the summer of 2013, I drove a Ford Escape and a Toyota Prius around a South Bend, Indiana, parking lot while they sat in the backseat with their laptops, cackling as they disabled my brakes, honked the horn, jerked the seat belt, and commandeered the steering wheel.

    The rulers of the two most powerful authoritarian regimes in the Middle East are launching major wars to reconfigure the Middle East. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared war by proxy on Iran, announcing full-scale military mobilization within Israel (July 27-29) and organizing the biggest political campaign of ultra Zionist Jews in Washington. The purpose of this two-pronged propaganda blitz is to defeat the recently signed US-Iranian agreement and start another major Middle East war. Ultimately, Netanyahu intends to take care of his ‘Palestinian Problem’ for good: complete the conquest and occupation of Palestine and expelling the Palestinian people from their homeland – the single most important foreign policy and domestic goal of the Jewish state. In order to do this, Israeli leaders have had to systematically campaign for the destruction of the Palestinians regional supporters and sympathizers – Iraq, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran.

    Erodoğan’s Multiple Wars

    At the same time, Turkish Prime Minister Erodoğan has launched a major war against the Kurdish people and their aspirations for a Kurdish state. This has followed closely on several recent incidents beginning with the bombing (with cooperation from Turkish intelligence ) of a Kurdish youth camp, killing and wounding scores of young secular activists. Within days of the massacre of Turkish-Kurdish youth, Erodoğan ordered his air force to bomb and strafe Kurdish bases within the sovereign territories of Iraq and Syria and Turkish security police have assaulted and arrested thousands of Kurdish nationalists and Turkish leftist sympathizers throughout the country. This has all occurred with the support of the US and NATO who provide cover for Erodoğan’s plans to seize Syrian territory, displace Kurdish civilians and fighters and colonize the northern border of Syria – under the pretext of needing a ‘buffer zone’ to protect Turkish sovereignty. Such a massive land grab of hundreds of square kilometers will end the long standing support and interaction among Syrian, Iraqi and Turkish Kurdish populations who have been among the most effective opponents of radical Islamist groups.

    Erdoğan’s newly declared war on the Kurds has complex domestic and regional components1: Within Turkey, the repression is directed against the emerging electoral-political power of the Kurdish People’s Democratic Party. Erodoğan plans to discredit or outright ban this political party, which had won a surprising number of seats in the recent parliamentary election, call for new elections, secure a ‘majority’ in Parliament and assume dictatorial ‘executive powers’.

    Regionally, Erodoğan’s invasion of Syria is part of his strategy to expand Turkey’s borders southward and westward and to provide a platform from which Turkey’s favorite jihadi clients can launch assaults on the secular government in Damascus and Aleppo. The bombing of Kurdish villages and camps in Iraq and Syria are designed to reverse the Kurd’s military victories against ISIS and will justify greater repression of Kurdish activists backing autonomy in southeastern Turkey.

    Erodoğan is counting on Turkey’s agreements with the US and NATO for overt and covert collaboration against the Kurds and against Syrian national sovereignty.

    Netanyahu’s Proxy Wars

    Netanyahu’s multifaceted political offensive is designed to drag the US into a war with Iran. His strategy operates at many levels and in complex complimentary ways. The immediate target is the nuclear agreement recently signed between the White House and Iran. Part of longer-term strategy to destroy Iran includes the formation of a coalition of Middle East states, especially Gulf monarchies, to encircle, confront and provoke war with Iran. This political-military strategy is being pushed by leading Zionists within the highest circles of the US Government.

    All the major Israeli political parties, and most Israeli voters support this dangerous policy against Iran. The Presidents of the 52 Major American Jewish Organizations in the US have been mobilized to bully, bribe and bludgeon the majority of Congress into following Netanyahu’s dictates. Every US Congressperson is being ‘visited’ and presented with propaganda sheets by leaders, activists and full time functionaries of AIPAC, the Jewish Confederations and their billionaire political donors. All the major US press and TV media parrot Netanyahu’s call for ‘war on the peace accord’ despite massive US public opinion against any escalation of the conflict.

    At the highest levels of US Executive decision-making top Zionist officials avoid association with AIPAC’s public polemics and thuggish bluster, all the while promoting their own political-military ‘final solution’ for eliminating Iran as an adversary to Israeli-Jewish supremacy in the Middle East. In the State Department and Departments of Commerce, Defense and Treasury, US-Israeli agents acting as special Middle East advisers, ambassadors and insiders push Netanyahu’s policies to undermine any normalization of relations between the US and Iran.

    A recent proposal written by Professor Phillip Zelikow in the Financial Times (7/23/15, p. 9) entitled “To Balance (sic) the Nuclear Deal, Defeat ISIS and Confront Iran” is chilling.

    The former ‘Executive Director of the ‘9/11 Commission Investigation Report’, uber-insider Zelikow promotes the formation of an ingenious coalition, in the name of fighting ISIS, but whose real purpose is to “confront Iranian ambitions”. Zelikow’s “coalition” includes Turkey, which will be assigned to attack Iran’s regional allies in Syria and Lebanon (Hezbollah) – all in the name of “fighting ISIS”.

    The bland, bespectacled and most respectable Professor Zelikow lays out Netanyahu’s own bloody hit list down to the most minute detail – but tidied up with a thin veneer of ‘confronting ISIS’ to obscure his real agenda. This is no blustering AIPAC thug or open Neo-Con war monger beating the drums…

    Zelikow’s ‘anti-ISIS coalition’ will ultimately go after the Iraqi Shia militia and their main supporters among Iran’s Revolutionary Guard – hewing closely to Netanyahu’s strategy!

    Zelikow was a major inside advocate of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Twelve years after the US invaded, occupied and destroyed Iraq, Zelikow pops up again to promote a policy of sending US combat troops to serve Israel’s regional interest. He writes, “The military side [of the ‘coalition’] will need more Americans on the ground to offer meaningful combat support among the coalition.”2

    Zelikow is clearly aware of US public opinion in favor of diplomacy with Iran and against the US engaging in more ground wars in the Middle East, when he writes that a ‘military effort is not an alternative to diplomacy.” Zelikow and his bosses in the Israeli Foreign Office know any US military intervention with such a “coalition” would lead to the destruction of the US-Iran Agreement and another major ground war with US troops fighting for Israel once again!

    Considering his position as a highly connected insider, Zelikow’s attempts to sabotage the Iran-US agreement presents a far greater danger to world peace than all the noisy lobbying by the 52 Zionist organizations active in Congress.

    Zelikow has been a highly influential security adviser to the US Executive and State Department since the early 1980’s under Reagan. He was appointed ‘special adviser to the State Department’ in 2007, a position held earlier by Neo-Con operative Wendy Sherman and followed by war-monger, Victoria Nuland. In 2011 President Obama appointed him to the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.

    He came to national prominence when President Bush appointed him Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission where he directed the highly controversial (and highly censored) 9/11 Commission Report against much public opposition. The appointment was made after Bush first choice of Henry Kissinger had created a media storm – Kissinger was never a serious choice with an insider-gatekeeper like Zelikow waiting in the wings. He was a controversial choice because of his role as intimate advisor to Condaleeza Rice and his authorship of the notorious Bush national security strategy promoting pre-emptive war, published in September 2002.

    Phillip Zelikow suppressed any discussion of Israel’s role as a major catalyst for US involvements in the Afghan and Iraq wars. As executive-director of the 9/11 Commission Report, Zelikow assumed the role of editor and censor. He ignored the history of Israeli Mossad operations in the US, especially in the run-up to the attack on September 11, 2001. The report made no mention the fake ‘moving’ van filled with Israeli spies arrested on September 11, 2001 while celebrating and photographing the destruction of the World Trade Center complex. Nor did he discuss the quiet ‘deportation’ of the Israeli agents. The report contains no discussion of the scores of phony Israel “art students” who operated in South Florida around US military installations and in the vicinity of the apartment of the alleged 9-11 hijackers. They too were quietly arrested and deported.

    He also suppressed discussion of the Defense Department’s ‘Able Danger Project’, which showed US intelligence awareness of the hijackers presence and activities much earlier dating back to 1997.

    In October 2001, the first ‘anthrax attack’ occurred – first sickening and killing a photojournalist at a scandal sheet in Florida. National news programs featured an interview with… the re-packaged ‘al Qaeda’ and ‘bioterrorism’ expert Professor Zelikow (his lack of Arabic and scientific credentials notwithstanding…) who declared the anthrax to be ‘weapons grade’ and ‘definitely from a state sponsored military lab’, implying Iraq. (He was correct in the ‘military lab’ part of his declaration – only the facility was the US Weapons Lab at Fort Detrick. Zelikow’s role in accusing the embargoed and beleaguered regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein of the anthrax hysteria was crucial in the public build-up for the case to invade Iraq, echoed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s call for the destruction of Iraq. Master-performance complete, ‘scientist’ Zelikow’s interview (among others) has disappeared from the ‘web’.

    Zelikow’s ‘expertise’ (such as it is) and usefulness to Israel derives from his articles on the political usefulness of ‘false flags’ and catastrophes – events concocted or instigated by imperialist powers to push a traumatized public into unpopular wars and draconian domestic police state policies. His work has centered on the manipulation and exploitation of ‘events’ to push public policy – and include the Cuban Missile Crisis, the re-unification of Germany, policing Northern Ireland, (but not Middle East studies or bio-weaponry’). His expertise is in the historical use of the ‘public myth’- whether the Reichstag Fire or Pearl Harbor. In Foreign Affairs, November-December 1998, he co-authored an article with the current US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, entitled Catastrophe Terrorism where a ‘watershed event’ could result in ‘horror and chaos’ pushing the US public to accept the destruction of ‘their civil liberties, wide-spread surveillance, detention and use of deadly force…’

    Zelikow continues to push the “false flag” script: In 2001 with the “anthrax hysteria” and now with the “Iran threat hysteria” … What is not surprising is that in both instances he hews closely to Israel’s strategic goal of utterly destroying countries, which have opposed Israel’s dispossession, occupation and expulsion of Palestinians – Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, and now Iran.

    Zelikow is a long-term, major asset for Israel, working quietly and effectively while the AIPAC bullies break down the doors of Congress. He never held a prominent position in the Cabinet or White House post like the brazen Zion-Cons Wolfowitz, Feith, Libby, Perle, Abrams and Levey who aggressively pushed the country into war with Iraq. Wolfowitz and company have scuttle back into obscurity under the cover of lucrative private positions while Zelikow continues to work inside pushing the Iran war agenda out of the limelight.

    Zelikow’s role is far more discrete and important to Israel over the long haul than the loudmouths and thugs of AIPAC and other Zionist fronts. On the surface he pursues his academic and university administrative career (an excellent cover) while repeatedly inserting himself into crucial public discussions and quietly assuming strategic positions to advise on events or policies which have ‘turning point’ consequences and where his deep ties to Israel are never discussed.

    Zelikow has one asset, which his bullying and blustering Zionist comrades lack and another which he shares with them. Zelikow is a great con-man — claiming knowledge about anthrax, Middle East relations, and military strategy. He spouts pure unadulterated rubbish with authoritative finesse! Claiming legal and investigative expertise he controlled the 9/11 Commission Report and denied the American people any open and relevant discussion of the event. He even likened the Commission Report skeptics to ‘an infection’ within American public opinion – apparently relying on his ‘expertise’ in biological warfare.

    What Zelikow does have in common with the raging bulls of Zionism is his constant resort to vituperation against any country or movement identified as a target by Israel. He consistently refers to the secular government of Syria (under attack by jihadi terrorists) as a “terrorist regime.” He calls the Iraqi militia fighting ISIS “Shia torture squads.” This is part of a build-up to push the US into ground war for Israel against Iran and its allies.

    Unlike Turkey’s Erodoğan who uses his own armed forces to launch an all-out war to dispossess, terrorize and colonize ethnic Kurdish territories in Syria, Iraq and Turkey, Israel’s Netanyahu relies on his overseas (US) high level operatives to set in motion the wheels of war. Within days of attacks of September 11, 2001, Israel’s leading mouthpiece in the US Senate, Joseph Lieberman presented the roadmap for US wars for the next decade and a half – declaring that “the US must declare war on Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon and Iran,” despite the complete absence of these countries’ involvement in the event.

    Is he a prophet or just a highly successful agent? Zelikow will push for a ‘coalition’ of Middle East dictators and monarchs to fulfill Israel’s dream as dictated by Joseph Lieberman in September 2001. This is a dream of waging devastating war against Iran leading to its partition, similar to the de facto partition of Iraq, Syria and Libya, resulting in a Middle East forever ravaged by sectarian strife, foreign occupations, balkanized and devoid of any possibility of regaining civilized life. Israel can then carry out its brutal final solution: the dispossession and expulsion of all Palestinians and establishment an expanded, purely Jewish state – surrounded by unspeakable destruction and destitution…


    Erodoğan expands ‘Turkoman frontier’ into Syria and Iraq – despite the fact that Turkey has never shown any interest in the Turkoman minorities. To that end, he allies with ISIS terrorists to uproot Kurds, everywhere extending into Turkey. Erodoğan, like, Netanyahu, wants a ‘pure’ ethnic state – one Jewish, the other Turkish! Both brutal leaders have no regard for the sovereignty of neighboring states, let alone the security of their civilian populations. Both depend on the military support of the US. Both are in the process of igniting wider and more destructive wars in the Middle East.     These two leaders appear to hate each other because they are so similar in arrogance and action… But according to Professor Zelikow, the US will step in ‘god-like’ to ‘mediate’ the different power grabs among what he mindlessly refers to as the ‘partners of the coalition’.

Seen in these stark terms, life on this planet is a gory spectacle…in which digestive tracks fitted with teeth at one end are tearing away at whatever flesh they can reach, and at the other end are piling up the fuming waste excrement as they move along…” Becker’s “Denial of Death” dealt with the way man controls his basic anxiety by keeping it unconscious, “Escape from Evil”, once again, tracks man from his organismic beginning to his emphatic end–detailing man’s various ways he USES culture, ritual, power, inequality, money, etc as modes to achieving an expansiveness of meaning in the limited form of his physical body. Becker: “Man is an organism who KNOWS that he wants food and who KNOWS what will happen if he doesn’t get it. This translates into a principle of prosperity…Once we have an animal who recognizes that he needs prosperity, we also have one who realizes that anything that works AGAINST continued prosperity is bad.” Other insights: Becker’s great insights into the primitive economy as religious because nature always gave freely to man, causing man to sacrifice food to remove his basic guilt…which may solve the dilema as to why native people were not content to just “exist” in paradise and be happy: Primitve life was a rich and playful dramatization of cosmic flirtation until Western man, who had long ago forgoten how to “play”, came into the picture. Becker: “Society…is a dramatization of dependence and an exercise in mutal safety by the one animal in evolution who had to figure out a way of appeasing himself…We can conclude that primitives were more honest about these things—about guilt and debt—because they were more realistic about man’s desperate situation vis-a-vis nature. Becker’s insights unfold in front of you like a nasty animal you shine light on in your basement in the darkness. Read “Escape from Evil” along with “Denial of Death” and be prepared to either deny it all…or sit upright in the silent confines of your home and wonder what to do next…”

        I have been a special effects artist my entire adult life, and I read these naive and jejune critiques by amateurs and have to laugh. Or intervene with some commentary to warn the ignorant that they are being conned by others equally as ignorant about science and technology as they are.

        And if they want to worry about governments wasting money, don’t point to the exploration of space as a culprit, look to the warmongers and imperialists aggressors waging war.

    The distinction of, “democracy” versus “republic” is hardly merely a semantic issue; there are very important practical distinctions between these two forms of government. The term, “representative democracy” is the semantic ruse, when the proper term is actually “constitutional republic”.

    I have had a lot of respect for much of the work of Washington’s Blog, but this article is bullshit, common bullshit for the dumbed down society we now find ourselves faced with.

    The distinction between a democracy and a republic was clear enough in the minds of the Founders, whether it is clear to contemporary Amerikans or not.

    My distrust has deepened of Seymour Hersh’s retelling of the Obama regime’s extra-judicial murder of Osama bin Laden by operating illegally inside a sovereign country. That Hersh’s story, which is of very little inherent interest, received such a large amount of attention, is almost proof of orchestration in order to substantiate the Obama regime’s claim to have killed a person who had been dead for a decade. Americans are gullible, and thought does not come easily to them, but if they try hard enough they must wonder why it would be necessary for the government to concoct a totally false account of the deed if Washington kills an alleged terrorist. Why not just give the true story? Why does the true story have to come out years later from anonymous sources leaked to Hersh? I can tell you for a fact that if SEALs had encountered bin Laden in Abbottabad, they would have used stun grenades and tear gas to take him alive. Bin Laden would have been paraded before the media, and a jubilant White House would have had a much photographed celebration pinning medals on the SEALs who captured him. Instead, we have a murder without a body, which under law classifies as no murder, and a story that was changed several times by the White House itself within 48 hours of the alleged raid and has now been rewritten again by disinformation planted on Hersh. Perhaps the release of book titles allegedly found in bin Laden’s alleged residence in Abbottabad is part of the explanation. Who can imagine the “terror mastermind” sitting around reading what the presstitute London Telegraph calls bin Laden’s library of conspiracy theories about 9/11 and Washington’s foreign and economic policies? Keep in mind that the government’s claim that these books were in bin Laden’s Abbottabad library comes from the same government that told you Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, that Assad used chemical weapons, that Iran has a nuclear weapons program, and that Russia invaded Ukraine. There is no evidence whatsoever that bin Laden had these books, just as there is no evidence for any claim made by Washington. In the absence of evidence, Washington’s position amounts to this: “It is true if we say so.” I would wager that the Hersh story was planted in order to gin up renewed interest in the bin Laden saga, which could then be used to discredit Washington’s critics. Notice that the authors in bin Laden’s alleged library are those careful and knowledgeable people who have severely whipped Washington with the truth. The whip wielders are Noam Chomsky, David Ray Griffin, Michel Chossudovsky, Greg Palast, Michael Scheuer, William Blum. You get the picture. You mustn’t believe these truth-tellers, because bin Laden approved of them and had their books in his library. By extension, will these truth-tellers be accused of aiding and abetting terrorism?

    • Osama Bin Laden died in 2001
      An MSNBC hit piece that attempts to debunk Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik’s assertion that Osama Bin Laden died from Marfan syndrome in 2001 unwittingly provides corroboration from a top Cornell doctor who first made similar statements in an interview with Salon magazine two months after 9/11.

      Pieczenik, a State Department official in three different administrations and an award-winning Harvard Medical School luminary, told The Alex Jones Show last week that the alleged raid on Bin Laden’s compound was a fable because Osama had already been dead for the best part of a decade. Pieczenik originally appeared on the show back in April 2002 when he asserted that Bin Laden had been “dead for months,” and that the government was waiting for the most politically expedient time to roll out his corpse.

      Pieczenik said that Osama Bin Laden died in 2001, “Not because special forces had killed him, but because as a physician I had known that the CIA physicians had treated him and it was on the intelligence roster that he had marfan syndrome,” adding that the US government knew Bin Laden was dead before they invaded Afghanistan.

  51. There comes a point in investigation where ‘circumstantial evidence’ combines into such weight that it becomes ‘substantial evidence’. The context entails reckoning with long strings of ‘coincidence’ that become simply impossible statistically.

    9/11 is such a case, wherein coincidences are piled to the rafters. Adding the weight of these to the weight of actual substantive evidence produces a case that is in fact beyond the jurisprudence of ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ to the point of near certitude that the official narrative is simply a tissue of lies.

    Having taken it upon myself to follow and study these issues from the very day that the events took place, I have come to such a conclusion of near certitude; for all practical purposes I am indeed certain that the events of 9/11 were the result of systemic forces, and that these forces remain and grow more dangerous each day.

    As I argued as long ago as 2008, there is no debate. The debate is over. All of the arguments and apologies for the official story have been destroyed. It is now up to the deluded now to open their eyes to see this.

    Of course, attendant to this logic, comes the realization that the so-called “War on Terror” is in fact a hoax, that it is a War Of Terror by those who propagate this hoax. And this is a very thinly veiled prospect considering the openly disclosed agenda of ‘Full Spectrum Dominance’.

    So to all the chumps out there wallowing in their cognitive dissonance, all I can say is: Welcome to the New World Order.

    Last month I wrote about the worrying capital outflows we’ve seen from China recently (with the country bleeding $224 billion in the last quarter alone). At the time I wrote:

    When China starts hitting the panic button and officially joins the ZIRP and QE club, the “currency wars” of the last several years will seem like a quaint relic of a bygone age, and the real currency wars will begin in earnest. Devaluations, more and more frantic money printing, and central banks acting increasingly aggressively will be the order of the day.     Well, guess what just happened? The People’s Bank of China just changed the way their currency is valued, causing the yuan to fall a record 1.9% in one day.

      The truth is subjective on these cosmic scales. That does not mean there is no local truth, or human truth. It is more than simply a ‘consensus’, there is a place in this local time and space for the empirical. It is stated brilliantly in Newtonian physics, and the hard sciences that have evolved from there. But we must be aware, that this is only a local, human–Earthbound situation. It does break down at “special relativity” and quantum mechanics.

    The verum factum principle

    Vico is best known for his verum factum principle, first formulated in 1710 as part of his De antiquissima Italorum sapientia, ex linguae latinae originibus eruenda (1710) (“On the most ancient wisdom of the Italians, unearthed from the origins of the Latin language”).[8] The principle states that truth is verified through creation or invention and not, as per Descartes, through observation: “The criterion and rule of the true is to have made it. Accordingly, our clear and distinct idea of the mind cannot be a criterion of the mind itself, still less of other truths. For while the mind perceives itself, it does not make itself.” This criterion for truth would later shape the history of civilization in Vico’s opus, the Scienza Nuova (The New Science, 1725), because he would argue that civil life – like mathematics – is wholly constructed.

    • Vico’s humanism and professional concerns prompted an obvious response that he would develop throughout the course of his writings: the realms of verifiable truth and human concern share only a slight overlap, yet reasoning is required in equal measure in both spheres. One of the clearest and earliest forms of this argument is available in the De Italorum Sapientia, where Vico argues that:

      “to introduce geometrical method into practical life is “like trying to go mad with the rules of reason,” attempting to proceed by a straight line among the tortuosities of life, as though human affairs were not ruled by capriciousness, temerity, opportunity, and chance.     • The Nine

      The man at the centre of this séance was Andrija Puharich, US Army Captain and author of a government paper on the weaponisation of ESP. And this is the guy that is moving in the same murky circles as bishops Jack Martin and Fred Crisman.

      The farmhouse in question was owned by his bizarro Round Table Foundation which appears to have received funding from the CIA.

      Puharich first gathered together these nine people on a warm night in early June. But the most interesting results were actually achieved in New Year’s Eve of the same year.

      And it’s a line-up that positively defines “could not make this up”. The group included:

      Arthur Young, who invented the Bell helicopter. However at the end of WWII he abandoned military aviation to concentrate full-time on the paranormal.
      Arthur’s wife, Ruth… previously of the Forbes dynasty. Her son, Michael, would get a job at Bell Aerospace through her and Arthur’s influence. (Michael’s wife got Lee Harvey Oswald his job at the book depository. She was learning Russian from Oswald’s wife who was living with her in Irving, Texas. Oh, and her father worked for a CIA front called the Agency for International Development. Lee Harvey Oswald left the coffee company in New Orleans, saying to his co-workers he was “going to work for NASA.” After the assassination, two other coffee company employees get jobs at NASA. Just saying.)
      Mary Bancroft; of the Bancroft dynasty who would much later sell the Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal to Murdoch. She also happened to be the mistress of the then-CIA chief. (The one JFK fired after the Bay Of Pigs after saying he was also going to break up the CIA… who conveniently went on to investigate JFK’s death. Just saying.)

      Here’s what happened at the séance:

        Those who have followed my work over the years will know that I believe parody and satire to be two of the most important tools for snapping people out of their mainstream conditioning whereby the most ridiculous ideas are normalized and internalized. Making fun of government stupidity and ridiculous “official stories” is also quite effective for knocking politicians, military leaders and other people in positions of power down a peg or two.

        These are not Serious People (capital letters and all) whose ideas need to be carefully considered; they are buffoons who cling to power by virtue of their brutality and the fear and ignorance of the public. In other words, they deserve to be relentlessly mocked and exposed for the clueless bumbling idiots that they so often are.

        Apparently, given the reaction to my 9/11: A Conspiracy Theory video, there are millions of people out there who agree with me on this. Recently I released my “Laughing At Tyrants” DVD compiling my best satire and parody videos in the hopes that it will be a good tool for reaching out to others who might not be able to look at a detailed, serious documentary, but whose curiosity can be sparked by humor and satire.

        In that same vein, I present to you five of the stupidest projects ever schemed up by government. Let us never forget that for every successful plot or scheme from the powers-that-shouldn’t-be there are a thousand projects that were just plain idiotic.

        #5: Voluntary Taxation

        Even the staunchest of statists find their faith in government tested around tax time. It takes a peculiar type of cognitive dissonance to plug one’s nose each year and fork over your pound of flesh knowing that it will go almost exclusively toward dropping bombs on brown people halfway around the planet.

        In fact, it might just seem like plain common sense to you and me, but some people (namely government grant-funded scientists) find the fact that many people resent paying taxes so surprising they decided to study it. Their results? “In answering our questions, our respondents constructed narratives that connected taxation with exploitation and a loss of personal freedom.” You don’t say.

        Still, government and its minions go to great lengths to convince people that they in fact really do enjoy paying taxes! Or everyone else does, and if you don’t you’re probably just weird. In 2007 researchers at the University of Oregon conducted a study that alleged to find that people may think they see taxation as exploitation and loss of freedom, but actually their brain interprets it as a ‘pleasurable duty’: “The fact that mandatory transfers to a charity elicit activity in reward-related areas suggests that even mandatory taxation can produce satisfaction for taxpayers.”

        Uh huh. Or there’s the 2012 study by a team of German taxpayers that found that people who pay higher taxes are in fact happier. Yay taxes!

        If all this were true, one wonders why governments around the world would be conducting extensive research into how best to manipulate people who don’t file tax returns into paying their taxes. (The answer? Peer pressure!)

        But some politicians are apparently letting all this propaganda hard scientific research go to their heads. In 2011 a group of Congress critters actually introduced legislation to ask people to volunteer to have the government automatically deduct a greater percentage of their wage to help “reduce the debt.” The bill — officially called the Reduce America’s Debt Now Act of 2011 — magnanimously allows for an employee to ask that his employer deduct a portion of his salary each month. Of course, this would all be carefully presided over by the Treasury, which would be obligated under 31 USC § 3113 to put the money toward paying down the government debt…because the government can clearly be trusted to uphold the letter of the law.

        Of course, the real point is why anyone would feel compelled to help do their patriotic duty to pay down a completely fraudulent and odious debt racked up by the politicians for the benefit of the banksters out of debt money created out of nothing and owed back to the banksters at interest. Or why congress would care about printing off a few more zeros on the end of the debt figure anyway.

        Still, you haven’t even heard the kicker yet. As Simon Black pointed out at the time, these voluntary deductions wouldn’t be tax deductible. Those poor souls who fell for the scam would in fact be paying taxes on their gift to the Government Sachs workers over at the Treasury.

        The best thing that can be said about this remarkably stupid idea is that it hasn’t been implemented…yet. The bill was shunted off into committee where it was never heard from again. But just think: that piece of legislation is sitting their in the bowels of congress just waiting to be brought up from the depths during the next round of pointless debt limit ‘negotiations’ and political grandstanding — which is actually due to come up this fall.

        #4: Studying the Mating Habits of Japanese Quail on Cocaine

        We’ve all heard about wasteful government spending projects, but some of the pork, abuse and sheer stupidity that gets slipped into funding bills and research grants is beyond comprehension.

        For the past five years the National Institutes of Health has been providing an average of $175,000 a year to a researcher at the University of Kentucky to research the mating habits of Japanese quail…while high on cocaine. Thankfully we are assured that this very serious research is all vitally important for understanding risky sexual behavior in general.

        How about the $331,000 National Science Foundation grant to study how likely “hangry” spouses were to stab a voodoo doll of their partner with pins? (Money quote from rival researchers: “it might be a big leap to interpret the results with voodoo dolls as indicating risk for actual physical aggression against a spouse.”) But don’t worry, the money went to a good place: a previous Ig Nobel Prize recipient.
        Or there’s always the $169,423 that the NIH provided a Virginia Commonwealth University researcher to study “Water pipe tobacco smoking among university students in Jordan.”

        Although I realize that making fun of research grants to scientists for projects that sound silly to the general public risks downplaying the vital role of scientific study in our society, one wonders if it is at all possible to imagine a universe in which studies like this were not funded by taxation collected at the implied barrel of a government gun. (Voluntary taxation, perhaps!)
        Still, there are certainly worse ways to spend government funny money debt slavery tax booty. Such as…

        #3: Nuking the Moon

        No, sadly there is no metaphor or word play involved in this entry’s title. In 1958 the US Air Force approached researchers at the Armour Research Foundation to look into the feasibility of literally nuking the moon.

        The idea, according to the head of the once-top-secret but now-declassified project (“A Study of Lunar Research Flights”), was essentially to say nah-nah-nah-boo-boo to the Sputnik-launching Soviet Union. “It was clear the main aim of the proposed detonation was a PR exercise and a show of one-upmanship. The Air Force wanted a mushroom cloud so large it would be visible on earth.”

        The document is well worth reading for the fact that even the scientists involved clearly knew how psychotic the whole idea was. The final report of the researchers starts off with the type of noble space-exploration rhetoric you would expect in a government research project of the time…

        “Rapidly accelerating progress in space technology clearly requires evaluation of the scientific experiments or other human activities which might be carried out in the vicinity of the earth’s natural satellite.”
        …until, that is, it’s revealed in the very next sentence that “other human activities” apparently means releasing the nuclear Kraken on the man on the moon.

        Among the people consulted on the project: Carl Sagan. In fact, the entire plan was only brought to light in 1999 when Sagan’s biographers discovered he had (illegally) leaked details of the classified program on his application for a prestigious Berkeley graduate fellowship.
        Thankfully, the idea was shelved and the Dr. Strangeloves in the Air Force gave up on their dream of seeing a nuclear meteor shower. At least, the Soviets weren’t stupid enough to come up with such a crazy idea, am I right?

        Oh, wait, they did. Their project was called E-4 and went along the lines of: “How can we prove we went to the moon! I know! Let’s nuke it!” Luckily their plan, too, was shelved, when it was determined that in order for the world’s observatories to witness the explosion they’d have to be informed of it in advance, and no one could figure out how best to do that.

        #2: The Stupidest Weapons Ever Built

        Ever heard of the Tsar Tank? No? Well, there’s a good reason for that. Although the name “Tsar Tank” (and even it’s nickname “The Bat”) bring to mind a ferocious armor-plated nuclear equipped fighting vehicle ready to inflict a world of hurt on all would-be opponents, the actual tank in question was just about the least intimidating thing ever to roll out on a battlefield. Built in WWI and described as a “monstrous backwards-facing tricycle,” this ‘tank’ was essentially a gun carriage on wheels. Two ridiculously large front wheels create the backwards tricycle effect, and it carried a crew of ten soldiers who operated two gun turrets and some machine gun pods. The Bat was a rather bloated beasted: designed to be 40 tons and with a top speed of 17km/h, it actually weighed in at 60 tons and could barely reach 8 km/h. As its name would suggest, the behemoth’s development was personally funded by Tsar Nicholas II who was duly impressed by an early prototype, but it failed to live up to expectations: the first battle-ready tank got permanently stuck as soon as its tiny rear wheel hit broken ground and the whole project was abandoned.

        But that was WWI. Of course there must have been wacky, useless, poorly-designed ideas that were being thrown around left and right. That kind of stuff doesn’t happen in modern militaries, does it? Oh boy, does it!

        Take the Littoral combat ship, aka the “Warship of the Future.” It was envisioned as an all-in-one naval vehicle that would use interchangeable modules, helicopters, sea drones and missiles to missions ranging from ocean surface combat to anti-mine and anti-submarine operations. Five years and $37 billion later, the Navy got…a dud. The modules don’t work, it can’t take so much as a single enemy hit without sinking, and each floating duck clocks in at a striking $440 million.

        Still, the Littoral is not even the priciest dud in the annals of US military history. The winner of that prize goes to the Air Force’s $1.5 trillion boondoggle, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The F-35 debacle is so legendary it will be taught as the prime example of military stupidity for generations to come. The program was approved in 2007 and already by 2010 things were going very, very wrong. The project was already two and a half years behind schedule at that point and the price per jet had ballooned 50 percent, smashing through a key containment threshold and forcing a thorough overview of the program. In a classic example of the sunken cost fallacy, the DOD doubled down on their insanity and decided the program was now “too big to kill.”

        What followed from that point should be perfectly predictable: cost overruns on every aspect of the project and mechanical and design failures that have continued to push back development. The Pentagon has had to ground all their F-35s on multiple occasions due to engine failures and a newly-discovered computer glitch has pushed back full deployment to 2019…a full six years behind schedule.

        The Air Force’s response? To throw up their hands and completely revise their strategy for the next 30 years to emphasize the need to get away from projects like this one. So apparently it only takes a decade of screw-ups and $1.5 trillion to get the military to change its mind on something.

        #1: Animals as Weapons

        Maybe you heard the story a few years ago about the military attack dolphins. You know, the elite squadron of dolphin assassins that apparently swam away from their Ukrainian military handlers during training exercises (“to mate with wild dolphins” a former Soviet naval officer speculated to RIA Novosti). You might have also heard those denials from the Ukrainian military that came out later and had your mind put at ease in the knowledge that there were no armed and dangerous cetaceans on their way to a beach near you. But still…

        The Soviets actually did train dolphins for military purposes, including naval rescues or underwater mine detection. Apparently, in 2000 a squadron of specially trained killer attack dolphins were sold to Iran. (No word yet on when the US media is going to start hyping the newest existential threat of jihadi dolphins.) Not to be outdone, the US has its own military dolphin program which it runs under its Marine Mammal Program in San Diego. In 2003 it was admitted that the dolphins had been deployed in Iraq and in 2007 it was revealed that the dolphins had been “trained to alert human handlers to potential terrorists.” One wonders if they have had any luck finding Osama Bin Laden’s body at the bottom of the ocean.

        But for those who fear that the military couldn’t think up anything more insane than attack dolphins, never fear: the government never met an animal it didn’t think could be weaponized!

        Bat bombs? Yup. Back in WWII the American military thought it would be a good idea to drop bats with time-delay bombs strapped to them on Japanese cities. Up to 1000 bats could be dropped in specially made carriers that would descend softly to the earth with parachutes. The bats would escape and roost in Japanese buildings before blowing up, setting the Japanese wood-constructed cities on fire. In the end the Air Force realized it was much easier to just firebomb the cities directly, leading to one of the worst war crimes in human history including the infamous firebombing of Tokyo that killed nearly 100,000 people in one night.

        Cat guided missiles? You better believe it. You can’t argue with the project designer’s logic, though. Cats don’t like water, thus they would attempt to guide the missile toward any ships in the area. What could go wrong? (Cat lovers shouldn’t worry, though; B.F. Skinner had a much better idea: pigeon-guided missiles!)

        So next time you are tempted to think of the government as a fearsome, all-powerful, all-knowing, coolly-calculating controller of world events, just remember: it’s mostly populated by ridiculous, incompetent, half-sane, bumbling morons. This may not be good news, but it’s at least somewhat more heartening than the idea that they are all evil geniuses. And hey, if we can’t laugh at them what can we do?

    A History of Dispensational Approaches

    12/20/2000 “ICH” Dispensationalism is one of the most influential theological systems within the universal church today. Largely unrecognised and subliminal, it has increasingly shaped the presuppositions of fundamentalist, evangelical, Pentecostal and charismatic thinking concerning Israel and Palestine over the past one hundred and fifty years.
    John Nelson Darby is regarded as the father of dispensationalism and its prodigy, Christian Zionism. It was Cyrus. I. Scofield and D. L. Moody, however, who brought Darby’s sectarian theology into mainstream evangelical circles. R. C. Sproul concedes that dispensationalism is now ‘…a theological system that in all probability is the majority report among current American evangelicals.’[[1]]
    Most of the early popular American radio preachers such as Donald Grey Barnhouse, Charles E. Fuller, and M. R. DeHaan were dispensationalists. Today, virtually all the ‘televangelists’ such as Jerry Falwell, Jim Bakker, Paul Crouch, Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swaggart and Billy Graham are also dispensationalists.
    Other leading dispensationalist writers include Charles Ryrie, Dwight Pentecost, John Walvoord, Eric Sauer, Charles Dyer, Tim LaHaye, Grant Jeffrey and Hal Lindsey. Notable political proponents include Jimmie Carter and Ronald Reagan. Probably the most significant Christian organisations to espouse dispensationalism have been the Moody Bible Institute, Dallas Theological Seminary and the International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem.

    2. Dispensationalism Defined
    The basic text upon which dispensationalism is based is the Authorised translation of 2 Timothy 2:15, where the Apostle Paul calls upon Timothy to ‘… rightly divide the word of truth.’ Scofield took this verse as the title for his first book which is a defence of this way of ‘dividing’ Scripture into discrete dispensations.[[2]] In its classical form, Charles Ryrie insists the sine qua non of Dispensationalism to be:

    1. A dispensationalist keeps Israel and the Church distinct…

    2. This distinction between Israel and the church is born out of a system of hermeneutics that is usually called literal interpretation…

    3. A third aspect… concerns the underlying purpose of God in the world… namely, the glory of God… To the normative dispensationalist, the soteriological, or saving, program of God is not the only program but one of the means God is using in the total program of glorifying Himself.[[3]]

    These dispensations are seen by proponents as literally ‘providing us with a chronological map to guide us'[[5]] toward the seventh and final dispensation which will be inaugurated by the imminent return of Jesus Christ and the climax to world history.

    2.2 A Distinction Between Israel and the Church
    Dispensationalists believe that God has two separate but parallel means of working – one through the Church, the other through Israel (the former being a parenthesis to the latter).[[6]] Thus there is, and always will remain, a distinction, ‘between Israel, the Gentiles and the Church.'[[7]] Darby was not the first to insist on a radical distinction between Israel and the Church.

    Marcion stressed the radical nature of Christianity vis-a-vis Judaism. In his theology there existed a total discontinuity between the OT and the NT, between Israel and the church, and even between the god of the OT and the Father of Jesus.[[8]]

    It was, however, Darby who first insisted that: ‘The Jewish nation is never to enter the Church.’[[9]] Scofield developed this idea further:

    Comparing then, what is said in Scripture concerning Israel and the Church, we find that in origin, calling, promise, worship, principles of conduct and future destiny, all is contrast.[[10]]

    Lewis Sperry Chafer, the founder of Dallas Theological Seminary and a student of Scofield’s, elaborated on this dichotomy between Israel and the church:

    The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.[[11]]

    For Chafer, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’[[12]] that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.

    2.3 A Literalist Hermeneutic

    Dispensationalism is based on the hermeneutical principle that Scripture is always to be interpreted literally. Darby’s approach might be summarised in one sentence in which he admitted, ‘I prefer quoting many passages than enlarging upon them.’[[13]] Scofield, who popularised and synthesised Darby’s theology explains further,

    Not one instance exists of a ‘spiritual’ or figurative fulfilment of prophecy… Jerusalem is always Jerusalem, Israel is always Israel, Zion is always Zion… Prophecies may never be spiritualised, but are always literal.[[14]]

    Ryrie similarly asserts:

    To be sure, literal/historical/grammatical interpretation is not the sole possession or practice of dispensationalists, but the consistent use of it in all areas of biblical interpretation is.[[15]]

    The logical deduction of a literalist dispensational hermeneutic is, according to Dwight Pentecost, another former member of the Dallas faculty, that:

    Scripture is unintelligible until one can distinguish clearly between God’s program for his earthly people Israel and that for the Church.[[16]]

    So Donald Grey Barnhouse, another leading dispensationalist insists:

    It was a tragic hour when the reformation churches wrote the Ten Commandments into their creeds and catechisms and sought to bring Gentile believers into bondage to Jewish law, which was never intended either for the Gentile nations or for the church.[[17]]

    With breathtaking candour Chafer insists:

    [Dispensationalism] has changed the Bible from being a mass of more or less conflicting writings into a classified and easily assimilated revelation of both the earthly and heavenly purposes of God, which reach on into eternity to come.[[18]]

    Ernest Sandeen critically observes that dispensationalism has ‘a frozen biblical text in which every word is supported by the same weight of divine authority.’[[19]]

    Based on this interpretative principle, dispensationalists hold that the promises made to Abraham and through him to the Jews, although postponed during this present Church age, are nevertheless eternal and unconditional and therefore await future realisation since they have never yet been literally fulfilled. So, for example, it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis,[[20]] a ‘Plan B…’,[[21]] and ‘…a sort of footnote or sidetrack in contrast to God’s main mission to save ethnic, national Israel.’[[22]]

    2.4 An Apocalyptic Eschatology

    Crucial to the dispensationalist reading of biblical prophecy is the conviction that the period of tribulation is imminent along with the secret rapture of the Church and the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple in place of, or along side, the Dome of the Rock. This will signal the return of the Lord to restore the Kingdom to Israel centred on Jerusalem. This pivotal event is also seen as the trigger for the start of the war of Armageddon in which most of the world’s population together with large numbers of Jews will suffer and die.[[23]]

    Convinced that a nuclear Armageddon is an inevitable event within the divine scheme of things, many evangelical dispensationalists have committed themselves to a course for Israel that, by their own admission, will lead directly to a holocaust indescribably more savage and widespread than any vision of carnage that could have been generated in Adolf Hitler’s criminal mind.[[24]]

    Clearly, the consequences of such views, whether promulgated by academics from respectable theological institutions like Dallas Theological Seminary and the Moody Bible Institute, or by Jewish fanatics such as Baruch Ben-Yosef and the Temple Mount Yeshiva,[[25]] can only be devastating, especially since dispensationalists have considerable political influence through which they seek the fulfillment of their apocalyptic vision of the future. That dispensational vision is comparatively young in terms of church history. It began in 1828 when Darby wrote his first tract against the prevailing optimism of the established church.[[26]]

  59. John Nelson Darby: The Father of Dispensationalism

    Darby is rightly regarded as the first to espouse dispensationalism as a discrete theological system. However, William Kelly and Edward Irving played no small part in the restoration of premillennial speculations out of which Darby’s dispensationalism arose.[[27]] Darby was not the first to use the term ‘dispensation’ to describe periods of Biblical history, nor was his own scheme universally accepted even within Brethren circles. It was Darby though who first insisted these dispensations were irreversible and progressive, speculating that the Church would soon be replaced on earth by a revived national Israel.

    Charles Ryrie attempts, unconvincingly, to show that Darby’s ideas were latent in previous writers such as the French mystic Pierre Poiret (1646-1719), the amillennial Calvinist John Edwards (1639-1716) and hymn writer Isaac Watts (1674-1748).[[28]] He does concede however that it was Darby who systematised and popularised the idea of dispensationalism.[[29]]

    Darby was a charismatic figure and dominant personality, a persuasive speaker and zealous missionary for his dispensationalist beliefs. He personally founded Brethren churches in Germany, Switzerland, France and the United States, which in turn sent missionaries to Africa, the West Indies, Australia and New Zealand. By the time of his death in 1885, around 1500 separatist Brethren churches had been founded world-wide. Don Wagner makes the point that:

    During his lifetime, Darby wrote more hymns than the Wesleys, travelled further than the Apostle Paul, and was a Greek and Hebrew scholar. His writings filled forty volumes… If Brightman was the father of Christian Zionism, then Darby was its greatest apostle and missionary… [[30]]

    In 1908, Harry Ironside, a dispensationalist and former pastor of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago, claimed Darby had rediscovered the apostolic teaching lost to the church:

    Until brought to the fore through the writings and preaching and teaching of a distinguished ex-clergyman, Mr J. N. Darby, in the early part of the last century, it is scarcely to be found in a single book or sermon through a period of sixteen hundred years.[[31]]

    The clearest expression of Darby’s thinking is to be found in ‘The Apostasy of the Successive Dispensations.’ In this work it is noticeable, however, that Darby’s views are vague and embryonic compared with later attempts by Scofield and Ryrie to systematise seven discrete dispensations. Ryrie’s interpretation of Darby’s dispensations is significantly at variance with Darby’s own writings but more consistent with, and probably reliant upon, Scofield. It is an understatement when Ryrie claims Darby’s scheme is, ‘not always easily discerned from his writings’.[[32]] Ryrie appears to have read back into Darby’s writings, a scheme that suited his own purposes. From Darby’s own works it is possible to reconstruct his dispensational chronology and compare it with Ryrie’s interpretation, together with Scofield’s 1909 version, itself modified in a subsequent revision made by Schuyler English in the New Scofield Reference Bible in 1967.

    Darby defended his dispensational interpretation on two grounds. First, he claimed others had not studied the Scriptures correctly.

    The covenant is a word common in the language of a large class of Christian professors… but in its development and detail, as to its unfolded principles, much obscurity appears to me to have arisen from a want of simple attention to Scripture.[[36]]

    Second, Darby believed the Lord had revealed it to him personally.

    For my part, if I were bound to receive all that has been said by the Millenarians, I would reject the whole system, but their views and statements weigh with me not one feather. But this does not hinder me from enquiring by the teaching of the same spirit… what God has with infinite graciousness revealed to me concerning His dealing with the Church.[[37]]

    Even Roy Coad, in his otherwise sympathetic history of the Brethren Movement, admits that ‘For the traditional view of Revelation, another was substituted.'[[38]] James Barr is less charitable arguing that dispensationalism was ‘…individually invented by J. N. Darby… [and] …concocted in complete contradiction to all main Christian traditions…'[[39]]

    Darby’s was convinced that the visible Church of his day was apostate. This assumption appears to have shaped his emerging belief that the Church era was therefore merely a ‘parenthesis’ to the Last Days. Darby regarded the Church as simply one more dispensation that had failed and was under God’s judgement. Just as Israel had been cut off, so the Church would be. Just as only a small remnant of Israel had been saved, so would only a small remnant of the church. And naturally, of course, the remnant taken from the ruins of the Church were his own followers, the Brethren.

    “The Church has sought to settle itself here, but it has no place on the earth… [Though] making a most constructive parenthesis, it forms no part of the regular order of God’s earthly plans, but is merely an interruption of them to give a fuller character and meaning to them [the Jews].”[[40]]

    Darby believed that the covenantal relationship between God and Abraham was binding for ever and that the promises pertaining to the nation of Israel, as yet unfulfilled, would find their consummation in the reign of Jesus Christ on earth during the millennium. Speaking of the imminent return of the Jews to Palestine, Darby predicted,

    “The first thing, then, which the Lord will do will be to purify His land (the land which belongs to the Jews) of the Tyrians, the Philistines, the Sidonians; of Edom and Moab, and Ammon – of all the wicked, in short from the Nile to the Euphrates. It will be done by the power of Christ in favour of His people re-established by His goodness. The people are put into security in the land, and then will those of them who remain till that time among the nations be gathered together.”[[41]]

    Darby was as dismissive of the Jews as he was of Arabs. He not only taught that God would ‘purify’ the Arabs from between the Nile and the Euphrates and give it all to the Jews, but also believed the majority of Jews would eventually identify with the Antichrist.

    The government of the fourth monarchy will be still in existence, but under the influence and direction of the Antichrist; and the Jews will unite themselves to him, in a state of rebellion, to make war with the Lamb… Satan will then be displayed, who will unite the Jews with this apostate prince against heaven… a remnant of the Jews is delivered and Antichrist destroyed.[[42]]

    Clarence Bass summarises the novel nature of Darby’s emerging theological position.

    It is not that exegetes prior to his time did not see a covenant between God and Israel, or a future relation of Israel to the millennial reign, but they always viewed the church as a continuation of God’s single program of redemption begun in Israel. It is dispensationalism’s rigid insistence on a distinct cleavage between Israel and the church, and its belief in a later unconditional fulfilment of the Abrahamic covenant, that sets it off from the historic faith of the church.[[43]]

    Darby’s dispensational views, like those of Edward Irving, would probably have remained the exotic preserve of sectarian Brethren assemblies were it not for the energetic efforts of individuals like William Blackstone and D. L. Moody. Above all, however, they were propagated by Cyrus. I. Scofield who, through his Scofield Reference Bible, introduced them to a wider audience in America and the English-speaking world.

  60. Cyrus I Scofield: The Author of the Scofield Reference Bible

    The publication of the Scofield Reference Bible in 1909 by the Oxford University Press was something of a literary coup. For the first time, explicit dispensational notes were added to the pages of the biblical text. While such a systematic chronology was largely unknown prior to Darby and Scofield, the Scofield Reference Bible became the leading Bible used by American Evangelicals and Fundamentalists for the next sixty years.[[44]]

    By 1945 more than 2 million copies had been published in the United States alone. Between 1967 and 1979 a further 1 million copies were sold.[[45]] In a move to make Scofield’s work more accessible, in 1984 a new edition based on the New International Version was published followed by a CD Rom electronic version.

    Scofield’s notes relied heavily on Darby’s writings. Gerstner notes that the resemblance between Scofield and Darby ‘is deep and systematic.’[[46]] It is significant, however, that neither in the introduction nor in any of the accompanying notes does Scofield acknowledge his indebtedness to Darby.

    In the Introduction to the Scofield Reference Bible, he claims it is the ‘remarkable results of the modern study of the Prophets, in recovering to the church… a clear and coherent harmony of the predictive portions…’ Scofield defined his dispensations as periods of time, ‘…during which man is tested in respect of obedience to some specific revelation of the will of God…'[[47]]

    The Dispensations are distinguished, exhibiting the majestic, progressive order of the divine dealings of God with humanity, the ‘increasing purpose’ which runs through and links together the ages, from the beginning of the life of man to the end in eternity. Augustine said: ‘Distinguish the ages, and the Scriptures harmonize.'[[48]]

    Whether Augustine understood ‘ages’ in terms of Scofield’s dispensations is extremely unlikely. Nevertheless, Scofield believed that his scheme of seven was natural and self evident in Scripture,

    …there is a beautiful system in this gradualness of unfolding. The past is seen to fall into periods, marked off by distinct limits, and distinguishable period from period by something peculiar to each. Thus it comes to be understood that there is a doctrine of Ages or Dispensations in the Bible.[[49]]

    Scofield’s rigid adherence to these dispensations required him to make some novel assertions to ensure consistency. So, for example, in describing the transition between his fourth dispensation of promise to his fifth dispensation of law, Scofield claims,

    The descendants of Abraham had but to abide in their own land to inherit every blessing… The Dispensation of Promise ended when Israel rashly accepted the law (Ex. 19. 8). Grace had prepared a deliverer [Moses], provided a sacrifice for the guilty, and by divine power brought them out of bondage (Ex. 19. 4); but at Sinai they exchanged grace for law.[[50]]

    Similarly, in his introduction to the Gospels, Scofield imposes stark divisions before and after Calvary which lead him to the following assertions:

    The mission of Jesus was, primarily, to the Jews… The Sermon on the Mount is law, not grace… The doctrines of Grace are to be sought in the Epistles not in the Gospels.[[51]]

    Strangely, Scofield ignored the one division that is self-evident – that between the Old and New Covenants. Mark 1:1 categorically states, ‘The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ’ and Matthew 11:13 reads, ‘for all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.’ Yet Scofield places the life and ministry of Jesus within the dispensation of law, along with John the Baptist and the Old Testament prophets. He argues that the sixth dispensation of grace only ‘begins with the death and resurrection of Christ’.[[52]] For Scofield, the Lord’s Prayer, and in particular the petition, ‘Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors’ (Matt. 6:12) are not applicable to the church, since it is ‘legal ground’.[[53]] Scofield taught that salvation by works had been possible during the dispensation of the law and that the apostasy of the Church will signal the end of the dispensation of grace:

    As a dispensation, grace begins with the death and resurrection of Christ (Rom. 3. 24-26; 4. 24, 25). The point of testing is no longer legal obedience as the condition of salvation, but acceptance or rejection of Christ… The predicted end of the testing of man under grace is the apostasy of the professing church…[[54]]

    Scofield believed the Gospels were essentially for the Jews and therefore not relevant for the Church. In a footnote to Ephesians 3, for example, he claims, ‘In his [Paul’s] writings alone we find the doctrine, position, walk, and destiny of the Church.’[[55]] Similarly, in perpetuating the distinction between Israel and the Church, Scofield claimed, that Israel is the earthly wife of God and the Church is the heavenly bride of Christ.

    That Israel is the wife of Jehovah (see vs. 16-23), now disowned but yet to be restored, is the clear teaching of the passages. This relationship is not to be confounded with that of the Church to Christ (John 3.29, refs.). In the mystery of the Divine tri-unity both are true. The N.T. speaks of the Church as a virgin espoused to one husband (2 Cor. 11.1,2); which could never be said of an adulterous wife, restored in grace. Israel is, then, to be the restored and forgiven wife of Jehovah, the Church the virgin wife of the Lamb (John 3.29; Rev. 19.6-8); Israel Jehovah’s earthly wife (Hos. 2.23); the Church the Lamb’s heavenly bride (Rev. 19.7)[[56]]

    In many ways Scofield was representative of, but at the same time became a focus for, the growing prophetic and millennial fundamentalist movement in North America influenced by the Brethren. The views later popularised by Scofield, were shaped by a series of Bible and Prophetic Conferences held across North America beginning in 1868 which followed the pattern established by Darby and Irving at Albury and Powerscourt from the 1830’s.

    Both the method of ‘Bible readings’ and the topics of the conferences strongly suggest that the gatherings were a result of J. N. Darby’s travels in the United States and the influence of the Plymouth Brethren.[[57]]

    One of the resolutions adopted by the 1878 Niagara Conference gives clear evidence of the influence of Darby’s dispensationalism:

    “We believe that the world will not be converted during the present dispensation, but is fast ripening for judgment, while there will be fearful apostasy in the professing Christian body; and hence that the Lord Jesus will come in person to introduce the millennial age, when Israel shall be restored to their own land, and the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord; and that this personal and premillennial advent is the blessed hope set before us in the Gospel for which we should be constantly looking.”[[58]]

    In 1974, William E. Cox, a former dispensationalist and subsequent critic offered this appraisal Scofield’s abiding legacy:

    “Scofield’s footnotes and his systematized schemes of hermeneutics have been memorized by many as religiously as have verses of the Bible. It is not at all uncommon to hear devout men recite these footnotes prefaced by the words, ‘The Bible says…’ Many a pastor has lost all influence with members of his congregation and has been branded a liberal for no other reason than failure to concur with all the footnotes of Dr. Scofield. Even many ministers use the teachings of Scofield as tests of orthodoxy!” [[59]]

    Craig Blaising, professor of Systematic Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, agrees:

    “The Scofield Reference Bible became the Bible of fundamentalism, and the theology of the notes approached confessional status in many Bible schools, institutes and seminaries established in the early decades of this century.”[[60]]

    In 1890 Scofield began his Comprehensive Bible Correspondence Course through which tens of thousands of students around the world were introduced to his dispensational teaching about a failing Church and a future Israel. Scofield directed the course until 1914 when it was taken over by the Moody Bible Institute. In the 1890’s, during Scofield’s pastorate in Dallas, he was also principal of the Southwestern School of the Bible. This was the forerunner to Dallas Theological Seminary, which was founded in 1924 by another of his students, Lewis Sperry Chafer, who became one of Scofield’s most influential exponents.

    Chafer has, in the history of American Dispensationalism, a double distinction. First, he established and led Dispensationalism’s most scholarly institution through the formative years of its existence. Second, he produced the first full and definitive systematic theology of Dispensationalism. This massive eight-volume work is a full articulation of the standard Scofieldian variety of dispensational thought, constantly related to the Biblical texts and data on which it claims to rest. Its influence appears to have been great on all dispensationalist teachers since its first publication, though it is fading today.

    All of Chafer’s work and career was openly and obviously in the Scofieldian tradition. A few years before his death, Chafer, faithful to his mentor to the last, was to say of his greatest academic achievement, ‘It goes on record that the Dallas Theological Seminary uses, recommends, and defends the Scofield Bible.’ The major line of dispensational orthodoxy is clear and unbroken from Darby to Scofield to Chafer to Dallas.[[61]]

    It is perhaps therefore not surprising that the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Dallas Theological Seminary have since then continued to be the foremost apologists for Scofield’s dispensational views, and Christian Zionism in particular.

  61. Conclusions

    Karen Armstrong is not alone in tracing within dispensationalism evidence of the legacy of the Crusades. They have, she claims, ‘returned to a classical and extreme religious crusading.'[[116]] Rosemary Radford Ruether also sees the danger of this kind of fundamentalism in its, ‘dualistic, Manichaean view of global politics – America and Israel together against an evil world.'[[117]] Kenneth Cragg comments satirically:

    “It is so; God chose the Jews; the land is theirs by divine gift. These dicta cannot be questioned or resisted. They are final. Such verdicts come infallibly from Christian biblicists for whom Israel can do no wrong-thus fortified. But can such positivism, this unquestioning finality, be compatible with the integrity of the prophets themselves? It certainly cannot square with the open peoplehood under God which is the crux of New Testament faith. Nor can it well be reconciled with the ethical demands central to law and election alike… Chosenness cannot properly be either an ethnic exclusivism or a political facility.”[[118]]

    The Middle East Council of Churches which represents the indigenous and ancient Oriental and Eastern Churches, has also been highly critical of the activities of dispensationalists:

    “[They] …force the Zionist model of theocratic and ethnocentric nationalism on the Middle East… [rejecting]… the movement of Christian unity and inter-religious understanding which is promoted by the churches in the region. The Christian Zionist programme, with its elevation of modern political Zionism, provides the Christian with a world view where the gospel is identified with the ideology of success and militarism. It places its emphasis on events leading up to the end of history rather than living Christ’s love and justice today.”[[119]]

    Clarence Bass makes this assessment of dispensationalism:

    “No part of historic Christian doctrine supports this radical distinction between church and kingdom. To be sure they are not identical; but dispensationalism has added the idea that the kingdom was to be a restoration of Israel, not a consummation of the church… In the light of this principle, it is legitimate to ask whether dispensationalism is not orientated more from the Abrahamic Covenant than from the Cross. Is not its focus centred more on the Jewish kingdom than on the Body of Christ? Does it not interpret the New Testament in the light of Old Testament prophecies, instead of interpreting those prophecies in the light of the more complete revelation of the New Testament?”[[120]]

    Whether intentionally or otherwise, dispensationalism is being used today to give theological justification to what the United Nations regards as racism[[121]] and the denial of basic human rights; supporting the ethnic-cleansing of Palestinians from their historic lands; endorsing the building of Jewish settlements in the Occupied Territories; inciting religious fanaticism by supporting the rebuilding of a Jewish Temple on Mount Moriah; dismissing moderate Jewish opinion willing to negotiate land for peace; and advocating an apocalyptic eschatology likely to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

    It is therefore not surprising that among the indigenous Christians of the Holy Land especially, dispensationalism is regarded as a dangerous heresy, an unwelcome and alien intrusion, advocating an exclusive Jewish political agenda and undermining the genuine ministry of justice, peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.

  62. Hal Lindsey is Making Predictions–Again

    Hal Lindsey is once again making predictions about the end times using Israel as the prophetic time piece. In his latest article on the subject, he claims that the reestablishment of the Sanhedrin is prophetically significant. Here’s how he explains it: “These religious authorities [in Israel] believe it was necessary to re-establish the Sanhedrin because only this properly ordained body of sages can authenticate a Messiah when he comes. There is a growing expectation of the long-awaited Messiah to appear among devout Jews. The rebirth of the Jewish state and recapture of Jerusalem has increasingly influenced this conviction.”1 So Jesus was not the Messiah, and the NT is a fraud. That’s the logic of Lindsey’s position since the Sanhedrin did not authenticate Jesus as the Messiah. If the Sanhedrin of the first century was wrong, as the NT says it was, what makes Lindsey think that the Sanhedrin of the twenty-first century is going to be right?

    Operating from a false premise, Lindsey then makes this observation: “The religious sages began to consider the rebuilding of the Temple and reinstitution of ancient animal sacrifices as prescribed in the Law of Moses.” So what? What verse in the NT mentions anything about rebuilding the temple and reinstituting animal sacrifices? There aren’t any. Not a single verse in the NT even intimates that the temple needs to be rebuilt. The NT doesn’t give any prophetic significance to the temple and the sacrificial system. Jesus does predict the temple’s destruction (Matt. 24:1–34), but nothing is ever said about it being rebuilt. Jesus Himself is the true temple (John 2:19–21) as are believers by redemptive extension (Eph. 2:19–22). The NT couldn’t be any more clear on these points. For those of you who doubt me on this because you’ve heard that the OT predicts that the temple will be rebuilt, let me point out that the temple where Jesus was presented in accordance with the law (Luke 2:21–38), the temple He cleansed (Matt. 21:12–17), and the temple He predicted would be destroyed within a generation (Matt. 24:1–34) is the temple the OT predicted would be rebuilt.

    Lindsey believes that these events are “extremely important to students of Bible prophecy.” He believes “that we are very near the final climactic events that end with the Second Coming of Christ.” We’ve heard this before. Let me take you back to 1970 and the book that made Lindsey a prophecy star, The Late Great Planet Earth: “The most important sign in Matthew has to be the restoration of the Jews to the land in the rebirth of Israel. Even the figure of speech ‘fig tree’ has been a historic symbol of national Israel. When the Jewish people, after nearly 2,000 years of exile, under relentless persecution, became a nation again on 14 May 1948 the ‘fig tree’ put forth its first leaves. Jesus said that this would indicate that He was ‘at the door,’ ready to return. Then He said, ‘Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place’ (Matthew 24:34, NASB). What generation? Obviously, in context, the generation that would see the signs—chief among them the rebirth of Israel. A generation in the Bible is something like forty years. If this is a correct deduction, then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things could take place. Many scholars who have studied Bible prophecy all their lives believe that this is so.”2

    You do the math: 1948 + 40 = 1988. Seventeen years have passed, and Hal Lindsey is still considered a “prophecy expert.” In an interview that appeared in the April 15, 1977 issue of Christianity Today, Ward Gasque asked Lindsey about his infamous “generation” quotation:

    “But what if you’re wrong?” Lindsey replied: “Well, there’s just a split second’s difference between a hero and a bum. I didn’t ask to be a hero, but I guess I have become one in the Christian community. So I accept it. But if I’m wrong about this, I guess I’ll become a bum.”3

    This was Lindsey’s assessment of himself. He set the standard for his own work. The 1980s came and went without his end-time scenario coming to pass. This should have made him a “bum” and led to the end of his prophecy career. It didn’t happen. So why is his latest claim that “we are very near the final climactic events that end with the Second Coming of Christ” taken seriously by anyone?

    For many Americans, a coup in which the military seizes control of the federal government is starting to seem like a refreshing alternative to the existing administration, according to a new poll.
    Conducted by YouGov, a new survey has found that 29 percent of Americans could imagine a scenario where they would support a military takeover in the United States. A total of 41 percent could not imagine supporting such an event. And so while the coup-supporters are still decidedly in the minority, the fact that the option polls so highly is remarkable. This translates to 70 million Americans who are potentially ready to support a coup.

    The survey results revealed a clear political divide. Republicans were more than twice as likely to rate a potential coup more highly than Democrats, with the two parties polling 43 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

    I would say that the theory of “The War on Terrorism” certainly does “make sense of the world… in an appealingly simple way”. And I would add that it is a deceitfully simple way, and certainly divides “the world sharply between the forces of light and the forces of darkness.”

    And does not the War on Terrorism Theory NOT, “trace all evil back to a single source, the terrorists and their sponsors”?
    I would urge anyone who wants to find out whether Michael Barkun is actually “an expert on conspiracy theories”, who can clarify the questions I posit above, to read the entire interview by Chip Berlet at the link I give above.

      Barkun: “The appeal of conspiracism is threefold. First, conspiracy theories claim to explain what others can’t. They appear to make sense out of a world that is otherwise confusing. Second, they do so in an appealingly simple way, by dividing the world sharply between the forces of light and the forces of darkness. They trace all evil back to a single source, the conspirators and their agents. Finally, conspiracy theories are often presented as special, secret knowledge unknown or unappreciated by others. For conspiracists, the masses are a brainwashed herd, while the conspiracists in the know can congratulate themselves on penetrating the plotters’ deceptions.”
      As I have already commented on the first propositions that Barkun offers in this paragraph, let us delve into his sentence beginning with “Finally”:
      Continuing, he says, “conspiracy theories are often presented as special, secret knowledge unknown or unappreciated by others.”
      This is generally not actually the case. Most of the arguments I make are from readily available public sources, those sources hardly attempt to keep their knowledge “secret..or..”unknown”. Of course this knowledge certainly can be said to be “unappreciated by others”. Like Barkun himself who has misrepresented that “knowledge” as in someway esoteric, when it is in fact in the public arena.

      He continues with: “For conspiracists, the masses are a brainwashed herd.” Yes, this is certainly true, and I think that this theory that the masses are a brainwashed herd, is a well made and well established argument by those who study media. It is especially telling that the propagandists themselves have made no secret as to the techniques they have used to brainwash the masses into a confused and baffled herd; Bernays was very clear in his work, PROPAGANDA, in-which he writes the following:

      “The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

      Now it may be argued that this is in a sense esoteric and hidden knowledge, as Bernays is barely known to the baffled herd, because he is rarely if ever mentioned in mainstream media dialog, despite the enormous influence he has had on society in the development of the PR machine that IS the mainstream media.

      I suspect that Barkun is hardly ignorant of the works and of Bernays and the influence it has had in engineering modern society. Which brings us to the focal point of all of this, that Barkun is in fact himself, like Bernays, a propagandist who’s intent is to further baffle the confused herd.

    What does “superhuman” mean in the context Burkan puts it to? It means more power than the average human being is capable of exerting. And this is the point where a systemic analysis is necessary, as systems do have power over the average individual that are confined within such systems. Is “immortality” a superhuman attribute? Then let us speak to the ‘corporation as having the same rights as human beings’ as supposedly established by the court case; ‘Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad Company, 118 US 394 (1886)
    this case was a matter brought before the United States Supreme Court which dealt with taxation of railroad properties. A headnote issued by the Court Reporter claimed to state the sense of the Court regarding the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment as it applies to corporations, without the Court having actually made a decision or issued a written opinion on that issue. This was the first time that the Supreme Court was reported to hold that the Fourteenth Amendment’s equal protection clause granted constitutional protections to corporations as well as to natural persons, although numerous other cases, since Dartmouth College v. Woodward in 1819, had recognized that corporations were entitled to some of the protections of the Constitution.

    However the Court Reporter’s claim turns out to be, “Obiter Dicta” a judge’s incidental expression of opinion, not essential to the decision and not establishing precedent. Regardless of this fact, corporations have gone on to enjoy and take advantage of the same rights as a natural person – or human being. This despite the fact that corporations are immortal entities that last far beyond the normal human lifespan. And this is I will assert an “almost superhuman power”.

    Now to put this into a systemic analysis: What has developed since the time of “Santa Clara” is a system of “Corporatism”, that is in effect “fascism”, wherein the State and Corporations merge as a single entity.

    Moving on to Burkans final sentence above:

    “Such a theory is a closed system of ideas which “explains” contradictory evidence by claiming that the conspirators themselves planted it.”

    That this is a disingenuous assertion is certain from many diverse aspects. First is the simple fact of the penumbra of “sting” operations by police, from the local level to the FBI, wherein the authorities have indeed been shown to have planted evidence. This is not a “closed system of ideas,” it is public knowledge, proven in many known cases. The matter of the FBI operation that provided the explosives to a group of patsies for the first World Trade Center Bombing, has been gone into here on this blog, as well as
    elsewhere, such as the New York Times, Thursday October 28, 1993 Page A1: “Tapes Depict Proposal to Thwart Bomb Used in Trade Center Blast” By Ralph Blumenthal.

    “Law-enforcement officials were told that terrorists were building a bomb that was eventually used to blow up the World Trade Center, and they planned to thwart the plotters by secretly substituting harmless powder for the explosives, an informer said after the blast.

    The informer was to have helped the plotters build the bomb and supply the fake powder, but the plan was called off by an F.B.I. supervisor who had other ideas about how the informer, Emad Salem, should be used, the informer said.

    The account, which is given in the transcript of hundreds of hours of tape recordings that Mr. Salem secretly made of his talks with law-enforcement agents, portrays the authorities as being in a far better position than previously known to foil the February 26th bombing of New York City’s tallest towers.

    The explosion left six people dead, more than a thousand people injured, and damages in excess of half-a-billion dollars. Four men are now on trial in Manhattan Federal Court [on charges of involvement] in that attack.”~Ralph Blumenthal

    Read the entire article for details on how the FBI failed to substitute harmless fake powder to the group, but rather provided real explosives which were used in the WTC tower.

    Of course this is not the only time that the FBI has been caught framing individuals in their so-called “sting operations”. The activities in the lead up to the events of 9/11 show even more intrigue and and culpability than the first bombing case.

  71. Best I can say about this speech. WTF embarrassing. Worse than a drone on minister creating fatal boredom presiding over a funeral making every second a painful experience. This person is the head of probably the most powerful out front organisation on the planet. God or Mammon help us.

  72. I was around 23 or so…
    I looked up from the book and caught a glimpse of my eyes in the mirror across the room. I thought, “oh, there’s that animal”…. that was the last verbalized thought I had.

    Suddenly the room turned into negative, and then positive, and negative over and again; pulsing, and I could hear a booming pulsing with it. Then I gasped as a huge breath seemed to be blown into my lungs. I fell back into the pillows. A bright white light! Forever…

    Sometime later (?) I heard the chatter return; I was thinking to myself, “I did it!!!” And then I opened my eyes and I was back in the physical world, but still in a state of awe.

    I am still in a state of awe.
